Alicante Cala del Francés Hotels

"Although the hotel was clean, tidy and in a good location, in my opinion it is aimed more at a business client rather than a holiday hotel, the breakfast room was practical and the continental breakfast was very nice, but apart from a fridge in the room there was no provision to make any hot drinks. The tv was ok but did not have one single uk channel, not that i was bothered but if a couple or if a child visited it would be very boring. The gym was ok but very basic and the space could be put to much better use. I had a pleasant 3 nights at the hotel but due to the lack of facilities and space i would not return "

"Good breakfast selection. Needed third lid to keep food hot. They only had two. Room and linen all good. Street view, though hotel not full. But ok."

"Overall property is good however the small bedroom downstairs didn't have air con which made it very uncomfortable of our daughter. There was a couple of issues when we arrived but the owner sorted them quickly. The location was to remote for us, car was a must in our opinion. Swimming pools on complex were nice though."

"Property is okay but it is a bit outdated for the pricing, although it has all you need for a long stay as I was. The condominium is great, safe, with nice pools. Location is perfect for a relaxing stay. I am not rating this property with 4 stars because a huge setback with communication and care by the manager of the property regarding internet. The internet was okay during the first week, although weak and gone for minutes several times in a day. It was fully gone by the seventh day and besides me communicating the manager about the issue immediately and how important was the internet for my stay, it took 5 days for the manager to get a technician in the house and fix it. I was told by the technician that the order was requested just the day before, so I am disappointed with the behavior of the manager, who blamed the internet company all along. "

"We did not make it to our stay at this hotel because it was not made clear it is on an island! You have to take a ferry to get there. Our search for a hotel on Expedia used the criteria of central Alicante. The telephone numbers listed do not work and trying to get hold of anyone to advise we could not make it to our reservation was impossible. We note the name of the hotel includes the word ‘Isla’ but this is just a name. The details of this’offshore’ Hostal are lacking and it is certainly not in central Alicante."
