“We came in Fall for a quick getaway to explore the area. The Great Outpost was indeed, great!Our host were welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed and more, including the hot tub. Really cool place to stay. Close to Kernville, where they were having a community fall festival. So much fun! I would love to come back to ski. Thank you Fyza!!!! ”

“The cottage is a very comfortable place to stay, and we were sorry when our 4 days there came to a close. Communication with the property owners is probably the best I have ever experienced. The location is quite stunning in terms of its natural setting. The drive to the market in town is not that bad.You'll see plenty of turkeys quail, and elk in the neighborhood, not to mention downey woodpeckers all over the place. And supposedly it can get more exotic than that, though we never personally……

“We had an absolutely wonderful time! We loved the space, especially the big deck for stargazing and the creek for splashing around. There was AC throughout the house which made the hot days easy. This place is a total gem and only 12 minutes from town and the river! The only thing we would change for our next visit is that we would bring an extra air mattress as some of the fold out couches weren’t super comfortable. We are so glad we were able to stay here and we cannot wait until our next……

“This property was perfect for our three-night stay in Kernville. Close to restaurants and shopping, as well as easy to walk to river. Pretty quiet and relaxing. Loved spending time on the little outdoor patio/balcony in the evenings. A family of deer graced us with their presence one night, which we enjoyed. A little strange having to wear a wristband all weekend but maybe a better solution can be found to identify guests in the future...?”

“Communication was great! The location was easy to find with enough parking right in front of the house. The AC units worked great and we were comfortable the entire time. Loved the two escape ladders as a precaution; we obviously didn’t need to use them but that peace of mind was great. I would easily book again without any reservations! Water pressure in the shower was fine and the fire pit was nice. There are horses right next door, which did smell a bit depending on the wind. But that was not……

“Deep in the woods at the top of the mountain be prepared to drive for 5 miles trough twists and turns. Arrive early because you may not find the lodge. Overall the view was great and stay was good but with ZERO cell service if your lost or need the wifi code Good Luck. Lastly it was 1.45 hrs from Sequoia park entrance. Stay Wild”
