"Very poor. Dirty. No heating or hot water. Very disappointed, This is not a hotel, it is more like a private lodge, where customers are not taken care of"

"Wonderful host, room was clean, lovely and quiet, and I had a comfortable nights sleep. Short walk to the beach and pier. I got a ‘Too good to go’ meal in the evening from the local Harvester (Neptune) for tea. Free parking at the front (first come first served basis). Thoroughly recommend 🌸"

"For a 2 star hotel this was a perfectly adequate room and overall stay at a fair price. Comfortable bed with clean bed linen and towels. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room, but bizarrely no spoon to stir my morning coffee. Otherwise a functional yet comfortable room showing some signs of ageing."

"A very warm welcome, greeted by very friendly staff. The room radiator wasn't working but it was fixed within a few minutes. Excellent breakfast in very comfortable surroundings. Perfect location for Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove etc. Very good value for money. Highly recommended."

"The best B&B experience you could ask for . Me and my husband we decide to book something in Bournemouth and we discover this amazing guesthouse and obviously Jane and Ged witch they are great hosts . Room it was small but very nice. Breakfast is lovely. Highly recommend for anyone. "

"The owner was incredibly helpful and we valued his knowledge of the surrounding area/facilities-he was also available if required. Great to have parking and a short walk to Sandbanks beach and Ferry to Shell Island-glorious!! Our dog was in heaven!! Spacious property with everything we needed. I could have lived there forever! Highly recommend this property for an excellent base to explore Bournemouth and Poole-we had a truly perfect holiday even though the weather was...VERY British!!"

"Although this is a hotel, its more of a restaurant with rooms now. So it was quite noisy and busy in the evenings, with live music on one evening. However the music/bar closes promptly at a reasonable hour so not a huge problem. The staff are lovely and the restaurant food was fabulous. So much so that we ate far too much...It sits on the cliff top and we were able to hear the waves crashing overnight to lull us too sleep, not our first stay and wont be the last. "

"We travelled to Thatch Cottage for a three night stay for my 50th birthday extravaganza. The communication with our hosts as excellent and the check-in process was simple. The property is amazing and the facilities were perfect for our needs. The local area is lovely with plenty of things to do for all ages and interests and the property is the perfect base if you just want to relax.
