Canton Golf Hotel

"They started off by giving me my room key which was on the third floor followed by "the elevators are not working. You'll have to take the stairs." Got all my stuff out of my car and took the stairs to the 3rd floor. My key card wouldn't work. I went back down the stairs and told the gentleman at the desk.(He was very nice btw). I followed him back up the stairs to the room. He realized then that he had already put someone in that room. He told me to wait and he went back down to get me another room. He asked if a double was okay instead of a king. I told him that was fine. He came back up and put me in a room directly across from the stairwell. For the next several hours all I heard was the door opening and slamming shut. They need to get that elevator fixed. I brought my own food since the room had a microwave. The microwave didn't work. There are only a few channels to watch on TV and the Internet kept going out. I turned on the a/c and realized later it was blowing out black dust. The plus is that the gentlemen was kind and the room was clean. Bed was comfy. The hotel is in between owners. I would wait until the new owner steps in..whenever that would be? So thank you to the only gentlemen on staff that is working really hard to make a bad situation better. I can't imagine how many times he's had to climb those stairs. New owner- give him a raise. "

"Breakfast was not good unless you Wanted waffle room locks were horrible looks like someone tried to break into the room we were in and the locks were rigged back up we switched rooms last day and the dead bolt didnt work it was quiet rooms were old not real clean but they were updating the rooms while we were there was looking alot better good luck on renovation "

"The breakfast was excellent. Some of my favorite shops are nearby including TJ Max, Home Goods, Talbots and Sketchers Outlet. The bed was AMAZING comfortable. On the downside, the TV channel selection was very limited, which frustrated my husband, and the coffee pot in our room was broken. We will be back!"

"Great location, but major cleaning issues While the staff was friendly and the location is convenient, I can’t overlook the fact that there were bugs in the lobby and inside my room. It made the entire hotel feel unkempt and poorly maintained. I really wanted to like this place, but I won't be returning until I’m sure the pest issues are resolved."
