In my opinion, this is not a “luxury” vacation home but rather an old home that had a hastily done flip recently and is nicely decorated. This house was a good fit, bedroom layout wise, for our family get-together. The beds were comfortable and there was ample soap, shampoo, and towels in the bathrooms. There is a great view of Canyon Lake from the deck. However, the house was not very clean and there were many maintenance issues. There was a lot of broken and loose floor tile on the main floor. Before using them, we had to rewash some of the silverware, several coffee cups, and some of the pans because they were dirty. We found a handful of long hair and bloodstains(?) on the sheets of one of the beds. The 2-burner gas grill is too small for a house that sleeps 17. The grill was very dirty and was missing a catch pan for the grease. The coffee pot had a problem in that after 1.5 hours it still hadn’t finished brewing a 12-cup pot of coffee. The refrigerator ice maker didn’t work at first. The sliding glass door in the dining area was very difficult to open. Wood trim around the sliding glass doors kept falling off the wall because it was just held up with double stick tape. The ping pong table only had two paddles with broken handles and no ping pong balls. Some wanted to play Karaoke but there was no power cord for the Karaoke machine. The hose on the shower head in the master bath leaked badly. The list goes on. We were not happy with this property or the rental agency.
