We had a wonderful time on the river, this location was perfect for sitting back and soaking it all in. Easy walk to Whitewater Music, as well. Will definitely stay here again
Our stay was great at this cabin. The location was perfect. Kim was a great host and very responsive. The house had everything we needed to cook our meals, we did not have to leave the house. This was our second summer here and we look forward to coming back.
Thanks
House was very clean and had everything we needed. Kitchen was well stocked, beds were comfortable and the river access was great. The kids had a blast playing in the river. Nice patio with charcoal grill and fans. We used this every night to sit back and listen to the river while enjoying a beer.
concensus was the pictures of back yard.were.a little miss leading as to how steep it was to get down to river; great location.and I would recommend to family and friends.
My family and friends enjoyed the river setting, charming decor that worked great with all my Thanksgiving decor that we brought and the outdoor covered patio was perfect for our feast. For my family that slept there, we all enjoyed the peaceful setting, comfy beds and open family/kitchen area. Super cute.
Just what we needed.
I wouldn't recommend this house for elderly people because the path to get down to the river is very steep. The house is right on the water and is perfect if you have little ones because the water is shallow enough that they can play in it and you can set up a canopy with chairs. The house is perfect if you want to go tubing because the entrance for tubing is literally two minutes away. We had a person that didn't want to go tubing drop off us off and then about 2 hours later we floated right down to the house and got out at the house. The property owners were also very responsive and helpful.
The house is nice and a great location. It was over all clean. Minus under the beds when i went to get my shoes there was all kinds of stuff under my bed including a inch of Dust. But really i only have 3 complaints. (1) the AC has to stay at 75 which is not cool enough to cool the house down in this heat with all the windows. We moved it down to just 73 one night and it froze up so we had to turn it completely off. (2) there is no reception up there which would be fine had there been WIFI but nope none. That is not great when you (A) have young children at home so you can get away and (B) run a company and my need to take work calls here and there. (3) Not really a big deal but the bottom set of stairs are super step with only one side rail. Over all the stay was good minus AC
Overall it was a fantastic place to stay and a great location at the end of the horseshoe where you can float right down to the house and get out. The drive or walk to the beginning of the horseshoe is not bad but if u walk make sure u are aware it’s a little bit of a trek. We drove to the beginning and let Everyone out and one person took the truck back and walked without a tube back to the put in. The reviews are accurate about the backyard incline and steep stairs so be aware if you have small children, older guests or not so in shape guests. The deck overlooking the river would be fantastic but the trees are grown up to the point you do not have a view at all when standing on either tier and if they can trim those up I would highly suggest that. We cooked the entire trip and my only complaint was that ALL of the skillets need to be replaced due to food sticking extremely bad, Like bring your own if you are going to cook. Other than that the selection of cookware and utensils was fabulous and the grill cooked well also but don’t forget charcoal for the grill. We didn’t spend a lot of time inside the house except at night and I do have a little bit of an issue with not having TVs in all of the bedrooms. The bedroom w/king bed had a tv and the LR/bunk area did also but you can not sit on the couches and watch tv because it is in the corner by the front door opposite the bunk beds. Neither one of the other two bedrooms had a tv and there wasn’t a remote for the LR Tv anywhere
Overall we had a good time and experience.
The backyard photos are misleading. The backyard itself is at a steep incline, drops probably 15 feet before you get to the stairs, so may be harder for anyone with mobility issues.
The stairs to the water then drops another 20 feet. The stairs for the most part in good shape. There is 1 stair that needs some attention before it breaks.
The house needs a good power washing outside. The deck is dirty, which is partially understandable for the area, but the furniture was also dirty. For as much as they charge for a cleaning fee, we expected it to be clean. Let’s just say the house was left cleaner then when we got it.
The house or cabin, has a River cabin feeling and is cozy. The beds/pillows were decent.
The perfect location on the river. The private stairway leads to a shallow part of the river to sit in chairs and enjoy the floaters. A short walk leads to the other side of the horseshoe to partake in the float which leads right back to the house. This is our second time to stay here and it won't be the last!

Excellent Place, Great Location
Awesome, rustic house. Great location on the river, great balconies. We were there in the 'off season' (New Year's Eve), so a couple of things that may have been taken care of normally left a little to be desired -- ant beds were EVERYWHERE outside, we spent 45 minutes sweeping the porches/wiping down the outside furniture from leaves and dust, and the Direct TV hadn't been paid for, so we had to figure out how to stream the bowl games. But the property was fantastic, house was great for get togethers. Definitely recommend.
The property is so cute and very clean, had everything that you need and or forgot to bring. My friends and I had a great time and the access to the river was amazing! It’s a little steep but we made it just fine. In the spirit of being unbiased I would say that the only thing I could say negatively is that the outside fan is so squeaky, other than that the beds are great and everything else is wonderful!
This is our new favorite place to stay when we visit this area! Perfect location, fantastic views off the back porch, peaceful!!!!, great house layout, plenty of room for everyone, fully stocked house…I could go on and on!! Great stay!!
Although the cute house is a little more rustic than we prefer, the location and river access is fantastic! We love the rapids and the ease to go around the horseshoe several times. The outdoor covered patio is perfect. The river access and stairs are very steep - probably ok for most but it could be tricky for the very young or old.
This stay was absolutely fantastic. We have been going to the river with this group for over 30 years. This house and it’s location are absolutely perfect. There were 8 of us and it never felt crowded. We had great dinners on the back porch and the shallows at the river were perfect for people watching and cooling down during the day. Everyone agreed that this will become an annual destination in the future!
Second stay at this property. Besides the great location, the large back porch is the second best thing about this property. Will definitely go back for a third stay!
We enjoyed our stay at the property! The hillside down to the water is relatively steep, but totally doable if you're relatively fit and mobile. I'm not sure it would be a perfect fit for my grandma! Well equipped with a fire ring and bbq pit for outdoor times. From the bottom of the property stairs take you down to the river where you can find a few places to sit if you carry down camping chairs. There was some construction going on across the river but it was not really an issue for us. The house itself has a fun style and plenty of screened windows, and the kitchen was well equipped. There was no internet, but we were able to get cell signal so it was all good. Very nice spot to relax and enjoy the sound of the river. Would love to return.
This house was perfect for a weekend getaway in the off season. The access to the river was great. It was nice to take some chairs down and just relax. We also spent a lot of time on the back deck. It was perfect for watching the sunrise and was also shaded from the afternoon and evening sun, which would be priceless in the summertime. The house was pretty well stocked, and pretty clean as well. We couldn’t get the washing machine to work, but we considered that to be a very small downside. We would definitely book this house again in the future!
This house has direct river access which makes it very easy to access the "horseshoe". It is clean and has many amenities that made our stay convenient, like how the fully stocked kitchen accessories made cooking easy. The street was quiet and great for a walk in the mornings. We saw the deer who i guess also live in the neighborhood?! I would stay here again!
