Very clean
The house was very clean, the layout worked well for our 2 families that stayed together. We loved the pool and water with fishing and canoeing/paddle boarding equipment. The pool needed some minor repairs during our stay, the repair men and owner were professional, communicative, and worked quickly. The appliances could use updating, but the kitchen was fully stocked and worked well enough. The owner communicated very well, maybe a little too much. But that’s better than not enough. My family would stay here again.

Fun family vacation
Our original family vacation to the Lake House was canceled due to the pandemic. We are so happy we chose the Lake House for our return trip. The whole family from kids to grandparents enjoyed our stay. The house was beautiful. There were many extras to enjoy but the pool was the highlight. Close enough to enjoy some Spring Training games in Fort Myers too. Thanks Stu & Cathy for a memorable stay!

Delightful location and property!!!!
We had not been to the Fort Myers area before so enjoyed the central location of the Cape Lake House. And it was a wonderful property to both lounge and relax, as well as a base for sightseeing or catching a baseball game! And we like to cook so totally appreciated the well equipped kitchen. We couldn't have asked for more!!

Exceptional Home for family stay
The Lakehouse was perfect… we were in town for our sons wedding and the house provided a perfect place for us to rest in between the festivities. It was immaculate and offered clear directions on how to use everything. The owners were quick to reply to any questions. This was a definite five star place that we would recommend highly.

Inviting Beach-Themed Getaway
The Cape Lake House is a beautifully appointed house on a quiet street with a soothing lake view. The house provided a very quiet and peaceful retreat to relax and enjoy our time in Cape Coral.The house has a heated pool and hot tub, with a partially covered patio that is great for enjoying the lake view while eating or enjoying a beverage at any time of the day or evening. While we visited as a couple, it would also be very good for a family with the pool, ping pong table, kayaks and many other amenities for entertainment and fun. The house has 3 charming bedrooms and bathrooms, well-situated for quiet and privacy from each other. We chose this house for the its charm and water view, and central location to visit a number of sights around Cape Coral, Pine Island, and Ft. Meyers. The host was very responsive and helpful and provided everything we can think of for a great experience at the house.

My favorite VRBO by far!
While many VRBO’s are beautiful, no other compares to Stu and Cathy’s properties. The owners take very good care to the details of what travelers want. There were so many options for entertainment. I really liked that they have the pool and hot tub set to a warm temperature all year round with no extra charges for electricity etc. the whole family enjoyed our stay. Quite honestly, I’d love to go just by myself to lounge and read from their library of books. My only regret is that I didn’t book longer! I will definitely seek properties listed by Stu and Cathy from now on.

Wonderful!
This home is a gem! From its game garage to the master-bath hair dryer diffuser…it has every amenity. We loved its cozy feel, charming decor, and beautiful landscaping. Stu could not be more accommodating, and the neighborhood ducks kept us throughly entertained. We had a ball soaking up the sun and relaxing in the pool. Thank you for a much needed week away!

Great location and who doesn’t like to walk out the back door and cast a rod to catch some fish. House is well kept, updated and very spacious. The communication with Stu was great. This was our second time staying and we will definitely be back.

Our Cape Lake House Vacation was Incredible!
This house provided the perfect summer retreat for our family (5 total: my wife & I, our 16 yo daughter & 18 yo son + his girlfriend). Cathy & Stu were quite possibly the best hosts we have encountered in our Vrbo journeys … kind, helpful, communicative, & highly responsive. Just great. Gorgeous house, stocked, super comfy bedrooms, all the creature comforts of home including any kitchen gadgets we needed, board games, awesome living areas inside & out (I’ll get to the outside next) with a chill, beachy Florida vibe. We absolutely loved this place. The garage game room (ping pong & foosball tables) got good use, as did the 2 sets of washer/dryers. Outside was even better - heated salt water pool, 2 person hot tub, plus a lot of toys (pool floats, kayaks & paddle board for the lake, etc) made us never want to leave. +Plenty of pool towels. We loved getting up early and sitting on the screened back porch, soaking in the view over the pool and out over the lake. So relaxing. When we did leave, they had all the beach gear we could want/need (towels, chairs, umbrellas, etc). We did not use the bikes, but only because we didn’t have time! Decent local restaurants, but mostly a bit of a drive. There’s a terrific little coffee kiosk (Gourmet Latte) about a half mile from the house that we frequented often. Great local farmers market on Sat downtown Cape Coral. Truly, this house is STOCKED and blew us away with comfort! We will hopefully be back!

Definitely recommend. Lots of toys and things to do, plenty of space, didn’t eat out the whole time we were there - kitchen/grill had everything we need, quiet neighborhood, clean house, nice TV, pretty view, everything recently updated. We enjoyed our getaway!! Great grocery store nearby - Farmer Joes. Close to Ft Myers, Pine Island, Sanibel…lots of recovery still happening near coast. Only small thing is pool was hot due to summer heat and local ducks swim in pool often (nothing owners can do but good to know)

Family Vacation
We chose this property because it looked like the perfect place for our family size. From the beginning the owners were very responsive to our questions. When we arrived at the home it was perfectly cleaned and prepared for our family. I have never been to a home that is equipped as well as this rental. We loved the pool, the family caught many fish, the beds are super comfy, the kitchen is VERY a well equipped. This was an amazing week in Cape Coral.

Great Stay!
We enjoyed our stay so much. This house came fully loaded with everything you need. Special touches like fishing gear, ping pong, kayaks, beach gear, beach towels, hand soap, toilet paper, garbage bags, clorox wipes, fully stocked kitchen and spices are thing you just don't find everywhere! The communication, check in and check out was SO easy and pain free. This place was VERY clean, comfortable, and homey. We enjoyed it so much. We even caught a great sized tilapia out back. Will definitely recommend to others! This home is immaculate post ian as well. The nearest beches and islands have not fully recovered and will not for years, but they need our support and you can definitely still find amazing places to go. We enjoyed Wahoo Willies on Estero Island, Blue dog restaurant at Matlacha and Phuzzys boat Shack on Pine island, if you dont mind a drive.

Weekend Getaway in Cape Coral
My friends and I just recently stayed at this house. Everything is pretty much great and as advertised. The house has a very nice decor and is very clean. All of the rooms are very spacious. The only downside is that the bunk bed bedroom gets a little hot, it is the only room without a fan and there is a little window that has no blinds so in the morning the light shines through the top bunk. The pool is amazing! The temperature of the water is nice not too hot not too cold just right! There is a great assortment of kitchen utensils/items for use during your stay! The garage is equipped with all types items for outdoor activities, that was a really nice touch. The house is located near the supermarket and many other shops. Overall this is a great place to stay I would 100% recommend to anyone.

We are just back from a week at Hancock. We were three adults and three teenagers. The house and pool are beautiful, everything you need is already in the house. The teens enjoyed kayaking and splashing about in the pool. We would definately return.

Amazing Stay
Everything about our vacation was great. I bring my family (4 adults over 32, 14 year old, 5 & 6 year old) to Florida every year and we find a place with a pool and we basically never leave. We had everything we needed to relax all week. The kitchen was well-supplied with anything we could possibly have wanted to use, crockpots, George Forman Grill, large pots for pasta, big frying pans, Ninja Blender, and more. We cook all meals while we are there and we had everything we needed. We would definitely recommend this place or any of their other vacation rentals. ❤️❤️❤️

Perfect Family Getaway
This property was perfect for our family getaway. We spent a long weekend together instead of exchanging Christmas presents within our immediate family. The pool was heated perfectly to enjoy with the kids even when it was a cooler day/night. The home was well equipped and had everything as listed so all we had to do was get groceries. Everything we needed for cooking was available. The washer and dryer were great to have when traveling with children. We loved the beach chairs and wagon, Marco Beach was amazing at sunset. Stu and Cathy were available by phone for us and checked in with us prior to our check in. Thank you for sharing your beautiful properties and all your work post hurricane Ian.

Fantastic house and hosts, highly recommended.
Wonderfully elegant and comfortable home. We had a perfect stay at Lake House. The furniture and beds are so comfortable, the decor gives you a sense or serenity and relaxation. We cooked at the house everyday and you didn’t need to ask for any kitchen tool as it was all there and more - two slow cookers (including recipe book) to a garlic press and knives that actually cut! Cathy and Stu are lovely, kind and friendly hosts and answer all your questions even during hurricane Ian. The pool (nice and warm) and outside area is outstanding, total freedom with such a wide range of furniture. Four people fished (take some non-barbed hooks with you, we couldn’t locate any in the US shops) rods, landing nets etc all provided. We saw friendly Terrance (turtle) every afternoon and an Otter in the lake. This house is truly special and it’s a privilege to stay there.

Pleasant Surprise
Needed a place to stay in Cape Coral after Hurricane Ian for a few days and we were so happy with this rental. The house was furnished great, very clean, the backyard facing the pool and lake was so relaxing. This was not a vacation for us but I wish it was. We all agreed we would love to come back under different circumstances . The owners were very nice and very quick to respond . Highly recommend!!

Well Appointed Rental
Over 25 years of traveling with our large family, and this is our favorite rental ever!! The owners, Stu and Cathy, have literally thought of everything. From pool towels, kayaks, fishing gear, the well stocked kitchen, the upstairs board game cabinet, this home seriously has EVERYTHING!! Myself, my husband,my parents, and 4 of our young adult/ teen sons enjoyed the abundant space and activities on site. The pool was a favorite with everyone with the pingpong table a close second! The garage door screen was wonderful for letting air in and keeping bugs out during our family pingpong tournaments and something I had never seen before. Also, the TWO washers, dryers, and refrigerators were not lost on this mom of 5!! We took the kayaks out one day and took turns exploring the canals while others fished off the dock. We learned you can catch fish with slices of hotdogs :) I absolutely loved the layout of the house. The two bedrooms downstairs are tucked away nicely and can be closed off from the main living space. The upstairs master bedrooms and loft are beautifully decorated and so inviting. My 14 yo. claimed the adorable reading nook as his own for most of the stay. I wish we could say we enjoyed the huge 80" TV but we just stayed so busy playing, we never really turned it on. We chose this rental due to it's central location between baseball parks and beaches. We were about 20 mins. from each of the fields my son played at a well as 40ish mins. away from beaches. We usually opt to stay at properties directly on the beach. I felt like even though we had to pack up and drive to the beach, we had a good "trade off" with all this property had to offer. We also enjoyed visiting a different beach each time instead of just plopping down at the same place each day. Anyway, if you are truly looking for a home away from home, this is your place! Stu and Cathy are very welcoming and sent several messages throughout our stay to keep us informed. We could not have asked for a better stay.

This home was a beautiful find. During our week in Cape Coral we had other friends and family in town who rented their own homes so we saw first hand how beautiful this home was in comparison to others. The backyard pool and patio views were spectacular. Also, there were numerous amenities provided with the home. Just a minor note for future renters, the owner keeps the A/C controlled remotely at 72F and you will not be able to change the temperature. We are likely in the minority but it was cold for us; we live in FL and usually do not set our thermostats below 75. My 1 year old child's hands were cold all the time and my slightly older children also complained of being cold...So bring warmer sets of clothes if you think that'll be the case for you as well.

Excellent property for an extended family vacation!
House had everything we needed. Plenty of space and sleeping for 10 people plus the pool and water view was amazing! We enjoyed the screened in patio and spent most of our time around and in the pool. Kids also enjoyed fishing from the dock and the kayaks. Only issue was with the level of check out laundry requirements, which even taking into account the enhanced covid regulations, were excessive (washing/drying and folding all towels).

A beautiful get away
Our family stayed at Cape Lake House and had an amazing week. The home is well-designed with cozy elements (the niche area, so great!) room enough to gather or spread out, and a wonderful pool and outdoor space. We enjoyed fishing from the dock and taking the kayaks out on the lake. Spent hours relaxing by the pool, and we grilled out quite a few evenings. Location is great too! We spent some time out on Sanibel and Captiva Island, came home after sunset to enjoy the hot tub and evening swims. Can’t say enough good things about our stay! Thank you Stu and Cathy!

Great Configuration
You can tell this place was put together with a decorator's eye. The bedroom configuration made this the perfect place for multiple families. Having multiple indoor and outdoor gathering/relaxing areas was also really nice. Plenty of room to find your personal space and cozy enough to be together.
