“We stayed in several hotels this trip, none compared to The Spier hotel. I'm hard to please but this hotel knocked it out of the park. Truly gorgeous and special.”

“Sorry we were only spending one night in this wonderful place. From the warm welcome by the owner on arrival, restaurant recommendation for the evening and freshly squeezed orange juice from their own orchard as part of the delicious breakfast, and did I mention really comfy beds, it was a real find. I would highly recommend.”

“The other guests moving furniture upstairs late into the night - some rubber pads fixed onto the legs of the chairs to prevent them scraping on the floor could be a possible solution.”

“Beautiful surroundings, quiet and private. Clean and well furnished, kitchen well done. The locking of the gate at 6 was a surprise to us and it would be nice to mention it or highlight this, phoning to say we are running 30 min late we did not get an option….very stressful on that road. Arriving we realised that the gate was manned and could have been opened for us 😟 The restaurant is very pricy, would be popular if there could be some cheaper family options. The brain area lovely on a perfect……

“My family and I celebrated the week of our mom and grandmothers 88th here. The stairs were easy for her and the view magnificent. Excellent braai and wonderful collection of fine wine glasses. We LOVED It.”
