Golf enthusiasts can tee off at Cottrell Golf Club (5 miles), while culture lovers have plenty to explore, from St Fagans National Museum of History (8.5 miles) to Cardiff Castle (11.5 miles) and the National Museum Cardiff (12 miles). For seaside adventures, sandy shores and fossil hunting at Ogmore-by-Sea are 11.5 miles away, with the dramatic Nash Point Lighthouse just 11 miles along the coast.
Step through the back door into a welcoming open plan living and dining space, where a warming open fire, set against an exposed stone wall adds plenty of rustic charm. Continue through to the cottage-style kitchen, followed by a practical downstairs bathroom where you can take a bath or a shower. A staircase from the living room leads to the upstairs quarters, where you’ll discover a double and a single bedroom, both with slanted ceilings and exposed beams that create a cosy, atmospheric feel.
Outside, you can park one car in the back garden (note that the entrance is too narrow for wider vehicles, and on-street parking is subject to availability). A lawned garden completes the picture, perfect for relaxed al fresco dinners and sunning yourself when the weather allows it.
