    This secluded family friendly town cottage on the River Teifi is neatly tucked away in the medieval part of HISTORIC CARDIGAN. The large enclosed 50' GARDEN provides a peaceful location with a BOAT MOORING & SLIPWAY a few yards away. With (rare for this area) FREE PARKING for 3 cars.

    A brand NEW KITCHEN built & installed June 2021 fitted with all new appliances plus a new garden patio.

Fabulous stay

Light, bright spacious kitchen dining area. Good sized bedrooms. Lovely open living area with comfy sofas. The garden is a bonus for drying wetsuits or, more importantly, sitting out in of an evening with a beer or two. The property has its own parking area alongside the house, separate from the car park, which you wouldn’t know was there without looking. A really quiet area within 2 minutes stroll the town centre.

This villa is a treasure in Cardigan, located along the scenic Teifi river bank .. and free car park. All amenities, cooking . bathroom and sleeping are thoughtfully provided . Sunny sheltered rear patio and garden. Clear instructions and communications from Susie. Easy walking distance ( 10 mins ) to Cardigan restaurants and pubs . Brilliant stay in Cardigan

Susie’s house is homely, comfortable, characterful and perfectly big enough for 7 of us over 3 generations and in a brilliant quiet, central location, so we didn’t feel we had to get in the car all the time. We love Cardigan and the area - the weather was pretty rubbish for July/August but we all agreed Susie’s house was the best place you would want to be stuck indoors on a rainy summer’s day! Plenty of great places to eat in Cardigan (Copper Pot, Print Works especially) and loads of fab day trips within really easy reach - waterfalls, Mwnt, Penbryn, Poppit Sands, Teifi marshes (easy walk along the tow path), dolphin watching from New Quay, seal spotting at Cardigan Island Coastal Farm Park. We all had a really lovely relaxing time. And although we didn’t have our dogs with us this time, the garden is lovely and would be secure for most dogs (except those who would choose to leap over 4 foot solid walls!) Thanks Susie, we’ll definitely be back :-)

Beautiful Spacious Cottage Centrally Located

Beautiful! Great facilities, especially suited for families with older children. Open stairs not good for very young children I'd say. Centrally located and benefiting from being close by to lots of cafes, restaurants, pubs etc but also a very quiet end of town next to the river. Lovely walk to the wildlife centre and Poppit Sands is a 10 minute drive. The best beach ever for soft buttery sand and no rocks or stones. We enjoyed a lovely swim here. The cottage was a lovely base for us benefitting from both the old stone cottage and modern aspects of an extension with a lovely modern kitchen and bathrooms. Beds were comfy and we all felt recharged after out stay. Only grumble was that we forgot to bring bathroom towels so had to nip to Tesco for some. We were warned but forgot them. So much to do and see in the area. Susie's cottage was a perfect base for us. We would definitely return!

Home from home

Although the weather wasn't always on our side we had a fantastic stay. Suzie's house is beautiful - a lovely mix of cottage a new - with a large light and airy kitchen, great size bedrooms and modern shower and bathrooms. We had everything we needed. The house is just a stones throw away from cardigan centre, and is a great base for exploring the nearby coast.

Perfect place for a relaxed holiday with amenities nearby

This is a great place for a holiday. There is everything you need. The house easily held 7 of us, including 3 teenagers. There is a lovely mix of modern and cottage style. The location is fantastic, with Cardigan a really short walk. But it's also really quiet and tucked away. To add to this, the owner's communication went above and beyond what I would have expected. We loved our week here and didn't want to leave. I would go back without hesitation.

A great week exploring Cardigan

Excellent location for exploring Cardigan and the surrounding area. Thankful for the old stone walls keeping the house cool during the hottest week of the year! The kitchen equipment could be extended, not enough glasses, non stick frying pan, champagne cork, and baking trays/roasting pans, coffee machine. For the price we paid we had expected a welcome basket and at least a coffee pod/ machine. The cottage doesn’t supply towels which is unusual but we were aware before, and still forgot them! But there is an excellent Factory shop in town.

We loved the house and its location - very handy for Cardigan shops, pubs and so on.

Well equipped, with a lovely light kitchen/dining/living area at the back, and a cosy living room in front. The only problem was that noise from the TV and conversation kept people awake in the 2 bedrooms above the living room, when they wanted an early night.

Cardigan Bay Cottage

The Cottage was advertised as having 2 Bathrooms , a Dryer, a King size bed in the 2 nd bedroom upstairs. The Cottage only has 1 Bathroom with a toilet upstairs, No Dryer - a clothes horse , the bed is a Double. It is spacious in an excellent location. The kitchen is fairly new as is the Bathroom unfortunately this was let down by the cleanliness of the place. On the surface it did look clean but there were thick cobwebs/dirt everywhere & crumbs & dead flies under the microwave. There was a musty smell. The light shades over the island in the kitchen were particularly dirty . The side /top of the Freezer was very dirty . The Cooker Hood was thick with dirt . We did speak to the Owner who did send in the cleaner but she didn’t clean thoroughly This did spoil our holiday we were there for 2 wks, in the end I did some cleaning . But pulling all the hairs from the bath plug hole & finding a dirty sock & used tissues under the beds was the final straw we left early. I did speak to the Owner who apologised etc but didn’t offer any refund, we did pay a lot of money to stay here . I believe we are still waiting for a breakages refund ?

Week in Cardigan

Great location close to centre and just a short 10 min drive to a really nice beach. Garden is fully enclosed which was great for our dog to run around in. Well equipped kitchen too. Would highly recommend a meal at the copper pot and the Mexican takeaway and Crwst for brunch. Had a really enjoyable stay.

A good base, with plenty to do.

This property is well situated, so close to the town but the area is so quiet and tranquil where the house is. We visited lot's of places around Cardigan which was easy to find because we were central to all the places we wanted to visit. Really was a great holiday and would definitely visit again. The house was spacious and well equipped, great for families.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this delightful town cottage. The large, modern kitchen extension was just perfect for our group of 7. It was bright and warm and very well equipped. Quiet yet just couple mins walk to centre of Cardigan, lovely clean house

Great experience, host so helpful! Couldnt have done more for us, was fab, and beautifully clean house. Great sunny garden and new kitchen-diner extension, v spacious master bedroom, all in a tucked away little stone fronted terrace. Loved putting our kayak on the river just over the wall of the back garden, and walking to have great craft beer and fab pizza at Pizzatipi. The Mexican street food takeaway is also fab, just 5 mins walk away. Easy to drive all along coastal path and to beaches. Recommend a stay here.

Gelungener Aufenthalt in hübschen Haus

Ein kleines gemütliches Haus mit ruhigem Garten. Die Vermieterin war super nett. Sie gab uns Tipps für schöne Ausflüge - der Mwnt-Strand ist traumhaft - und erkundigte sich oft, ob alles in Ordnung sei. Vor Ort ist ebenfalls ein netter Ansprechpartner. Cardigan ist ein hübscher kleiner Ort mit netten Geschäften und guten Restaurants. Wir haben viele Ausflüge in auch in andere Orte unternommen. Auch Tenby war wunderschön. Nach einer Woche wurde die Bettwäsche gewechselt und ein "kleiner" Hausputz vorgenommen. Einziger kleiner Nachteil waren die Matrazen im unteren Schlafzimmer, sie sollten/könnten erneuert werden. Ansonsten war alles geschmackvoll und sauber eingerichtet.

Quiet hideaway close to lovely coastline

We were 4 adults plus infant. Lots of space for a family holiday, all the rooms were comfortable with contemporary decoration. Very little noise from the town yet shops were just 2 minutes walk away. Behind the house is an enclosed garden (toddler safe) and beyond that a small car park and green space by the river...lovely for a stroll to see ducks, waders and grebe. Cut through church and cross river to reach nature reserve with waders, kingfishers and much more. We had a restful time in and around the house, and had easy access to Mwnt, Poppit and Newport beaches. A wonderful break.
