This is a great place to stay if you are visiting Carlsbad Caverns. The visitor center is only 15 minutes away. Our room was very spacious, clean and quiet. The staff was very friendly. We didn’t have breakfast so I can’t comment on that. The Wi-Fi was a bit slow. My only disappointments were that the sheets were kind of thin and pilly, and the towels were woefully thin. My husband thought they were fine, but I have longer hair and had to use two towels to get dry. We would stay here again though if in the area.

We liked the fact that it was so close to Carlsbad Caverns. It is a 15-20 minute drive for dining if the restaurant isn’t open Breakfast was continental

Check in was very rude. Restaurant closed at 3:00. Have to drive into Carlsbad for food. Might as well stay in town.

Property was dated but clean and safe, and close to the Caverns. Very limited breakfast. TV had few channels and was fuzzy, but we didn't come here to watch tv. Internet service was fine. Easy drive up canyon at sunset to see wildlife.

This hotel looks like it's maybe 70 or 80 years old. Unlocking the front door was very intermittent taking 15 or 20 tries. Two of the towels had long black hairs with fuzz. Disgusting. We awoke to the voices of the couple next door. They were not loud, but we could fully hear every word. There was no sound isolation at all. The breakfast was a selection of sugary kids cereals and some cheap, sugary muffins to take back to your room. Hot water to 15 minutes to get. Only half of one wall outlet was available, and that was turned off by the light switch. No USB outlets anywhere. No elevator to the second floor. There are far nicer and cheaper hotels 15 minutes away in Carlsbad.

This was a very spacious room and the place was a hidden gem that we believe has seen better days and wish it was in it’s heyday because it probably was really something spectacular back then. It’s in a hidden corner of the national parks area so unless you’re traveling there you wouldn’t come across it in regular travels.
