Nothing to say bad about this property. Great customer service, food and amenities. Everyone on staff are well trained and polite. Give my props to the management team for keeping this hotel in great shape and hiring top talent. The lounge is worth every penny as it had great varieties and different snacks everyday in happy hour. I will give this hotel 5 stars.

I liked that the beach was right in front and some local bars are great. I didn't like some of the dirty windows and glass, really hard to take a good photo of the amazing view.

The property is a little out dated and could use some tlc. Overall, it was a good start. Cleanliness: the shower had a lot of mildew and soap scum, especially the floor. Showered in flip flops. The windows were very dirty so it made it kind of hard to truly enjoy the ocean view. Overall: Toilet seat was a replacement and the not the correct size. The safe was very tough to work and none of the instructions were applicable. The sheets were just laid over the comforter and the mattress so they rolled up and down at night time. Refrigerator stopped working on day 2. The pool had a section under construction but you could still enjoy the pool. It had a lot of tiles missing and you can tell it hadn’t really been updated or maintained in a while. The location was great, but the vendors on the beach can be a bit over bearing. It was tough to enjoy the beach without being bothered. It would be nice if the hotel had its own beach chairs, etc. If you could enjoy the beach without being constantly haggled, this location would be perfect. If you intend to spend some time in the more historic area, we would recommend to stay in a boutique hotel and/or at one of the islands.

Overall property was great. I celebrated my birthday and was pleasantly surprised returning to a cake with a written card to celebrate my special day. It was thoughtful and very much appreciated. Lots of pros I like about the property. Staff overall was amazing. Just wish they weren’t rationing the wash cloths. After repeated request it would still be rationed. Just didn’t make sense. But did not make it ruined my stay. Overall a 8/10

I was so glad we chose this hotel. Location was great, walked across the street to access a beach. Hotel is modern and well appointed . Spa services are great. Food is excellent. Most of all people are helpful and very friendly. If we come again, we will stay here.

The hotel stay was good. All the staff were welcoming. Only few staff spoke English, mainly at the lobby but otherwise the place was clean, well maintained, courteous, had good restaurant and had easy transportation. I would recommend this place for sure!

Beautiful property and good location that is close enough to the main attractions and restaurants. Main issue was housekeeping. We had to strip the bed in order for the sheets to be changed and needed to request towels everyday.

I enjoyed my stay at the Intercontinental. Food and service were top notch, and the property was clean. I would have loved to have a balcony, but the hotel doesn’t offer that option. The view from my 20th floor ocean front room was nonetheless beautiful. I would definitely stay again.

I spent my birthday here in February 2024. The hotel staff made sure my day was special. They had a birthday cake and a hand written birthday card delivered to my room. 4 star hotel in a central location. The staff was friendly but did not engage with non Spanish speakers as much. The concierge was the least helpful person I encountered. Book your tours on your own. The hotel is very clean but the rooms need updating. My suite was spacious but smelled of mildew. The pool area is lovely, it’s on the 6 floor so it get windy up there, the hot tub is cold so that defeats the purpose. Great location, close to everything.

The rooms were a very nice size. Modern, clean and beautiful. Breakfast buffet was good, but not as good as the one at the Intercontinental in Cali, Colombia. It was missing a lot of the traditional Colombian food. Concierge Diana was great!

Hotel was clean, food and staff were great. Definitely not the place if you’re looking to enjoy the pool and beach. Pool doesn’t get sun until 1 in the afternoon and with that it’s limited. Beach is filled with people selling anything and everything and don’t take no for an answer. You can’t leave your things at your chair and go to the water as it will be gone before you get to the waterline.

Fantastic Stay
The suite was perfect! Housekeeping didn't miss a thing during their daily visits. Pool area and bar were fantastic, it had a great vibe and good food. Convenient location to the beach with a short ride to the historic district and airport. The customer service however, stood out above all else. The staff was very friendly and helpful and made us always feel welcomed.
