「This place felt great the moment we arrived. Clean with all the amenities we required. The view out of the sunroom is amazing, or you get the same view from the outdoor patio table. Numerous hummingbirds kept us entertained. Great communication from the owner. We'll definitely plan to return.」

「Me and my wife were looking for a nice weekend getaway. And found Gwen and Bear’s Cabin listed. The Cabin is right down the mountain from Petit Jean State Park. Which was exactly what we were looking for! The privacy of the cabin and the woods and small stream next to the cabin were also great! All around was an awesome experience and we will definitely be booking again!」

「We enjoyed the house, the deck was awesome, the main drawback was having only 1 bathroom, for a place that big you would expect 2 bathrooms. It was just myself & my husband who stayed if the other family had come, 1 bathroom would have been a big problem.」

「The location is conveniently close to the state park and it's a very short drive to access the trails and visitor's center. However, the cottage has a musty smell and the burners on the stove were warped to the point that we had trouble cooking our food. We also had some issues with the AC unit in the bedroom.」

「We had a great stay at the lake house. We visited Petit Jean state park while staying there. It was an easy 30 minute drive. The zip line was fun for all of us. The sunset views from the living room and deck were beautiful. The house is very well stocked. The beds were comfy and the dock at the lake is very nice. My son enjoyed fishing so much that we never had time to go kayaking! We would definitely stay here again.」

「Cozy lake house with fabulous view! A very comfortable place to spend a lazy weekend. The host responded very quickly to all messages, and he gave us great suggestions for things to do in the area. There was an osprey nesting offshore, and lots of birds nearby. We went on hikes that the host recommended. Neighbors were all friendly. The kitchen had all necessary pots and pans and tools for cooking all weekend. There is a really nice grocery store in town, too. It was the perfect place to watch...
