“This was the perfect place for a quick 2 night mini-honeymoon after our wedding. The grounds and River House were beautifully kept. We rented a little EV cart to explore and it was the best decision, we really loved roaming around through the woods and taking in the beautiful scenery. Breakfast in the morning was delicious, the staff was very kind and helpful. My only wish is that there were options onsite for dinner and drinks at the cute little bar, but I understand the demand is likely not……

“The bed sheets and cover was stained, the toilet bowl was dirty, gnats in the restroom. Informed front desk and they had the beds changed and the room was cleaned as it should have been to start with. The breakfast biscuits were hard, no eggs available at bfast time, they were cooking the attendant said to another guest. The heated pool was not heated, it was cold. The fitness area had a treadmill and a stationary bike and a yoga ball. Plenty of parking available.”

“We stayed here over the weekend and had a wonderful time and will certainly be returning. Debbie and her husband were absolutely fantastic and very communicative throughout our stay. The cabins were nice and cozy. We would recommend bringing bug repellent and bed sheets/blankets. The AC was really good in the cabin and we had a wonderful stay. 10/10 recommended!!”

“Dog friendly translates to strong wet dog odor. Probably wouldn't bother dog lovers but is pretty intense for those not used to it. Make sure to toggle the expected guests when booking: despite no mention of cost differences by number of guests on Expedia, and the fact the default number is a passive default in the booking process, the owners charged us extra after we arrived for having our kids with us (we were still within the "sleeps 6" threshold). Not sure if that violates expedia' policies,……

“Cute cabin, fully updated, dishes and linens provided, even pods for coffee maker. Only issues; next cabin renters blocked our parking, no lake views from cabins. ”
