Beautiful property, great location, comfortable apartment
Santa Maria is a stunning property in a beautiful & quiet location ideally situated for Orvieto. The apartment was comfortable & well equipped. The owners were most helpful & pleasant. We loved their collection of animals: 2 friendly dogs & an assortment of cats & peacocks. We also enjoyed being able to pick vegetables from the owner’s garden. The swimming pool was wonderful. A very enjoyable stay.

Entspannung PUR
Wir können allen bisher geschriebenen Bewertungen nur zustimmen. Wir (2 Ehepaare/2 Wochen/ Ü 50)) kamen selten so entspannt aus dem Urlaub zurück. Wer fernab vom Trubel zur Ruhe kommen möchte ist hier goldrichtig. Das Anwesen ist einfach traumhaft schön, sowohl die Gebäude wie auch der Park mit dem tollen langen Pool. Einrichtungstechnisch fehlte es an nichts und im Nachbardorf bekommt man alles was man so braucht. Herr Kuckuck, der deutsche Vermieter, ist sehr angenehm und hilfsbereit und gibt sehr gerne Tipps für Ausflüge, Restaurants und vieles mehr. Abends waren wir in der Umgebung sehr oft Essen (nicht überteuert) und sind dann noch gerne auf einen Absacker in die Axterix-Bar - diese sollte man aufjedenfall besuchen - egal zu welcher Uhrzeit. Wir haben sehr viele Ausflüge in die Umgebung unternommen und waren auch gerne Baden am Bolsena-See. Dort gibt es auch Plätze mit Liegestuhl/Schirm - Vermietung. Einen Tag sind wir mit dem Zug nach Rom, was wir aufjedenfall empfehlen würden, wenn man nur 1h entfernt ist. Einen weiteren Tag sind wir ans Meer gefahren (1h20min), an den Strand der uns empfohlen wurde - würden wir aufjedenfall auch wieder machen. Die ganze Region ist touristisch überhaupt nicht überlaufen, ländlich geprägt und sehr grün :-). Wir können die Unterkunft und die Gegend zu 100 % weiter empfehlen.

A little heaven on earth!
A wonderful house in a beautiful setting, an apartment well and beautifully equipped with enough space for 4/5 people. The swimming pool is super, for fun or for swimming the laps you want. Rainer is always available for helping out or giving some useful information. We enjoyed a wonderful holiday in Umbria!

Terrein heel mooi aangelegd en goed verzorgd. Zwembad is gigantisch en heerlijk, kids hebben heerlijk gezwommen. De dieren zijn erg vermakelijk: pauwen in alle kleuren, de honden heel rustig en lief (zelfs onze dochter die honden normaal eng vindt - vond ze lief) De gastheer is zorgzaam met een flesje wijn bij ontvangst en bereidheid om alle vragen te beantwoorden.

Ruhe und italienisches Flair
Wir haben zwei sehr entspannte Wochen in diesem wunderschönen Anwesen verbracht und können es absolut weiterempfehlen. Es war durchgehend heiß, aber trotzdem gut erträglich aufgrund der Höhenlage und dem immer wiederkehrenden Wind. Die Wohnung ist sehr großzügig und bietet schöne Ausblicke in alle Richtungen, eine Wohltat für die Sinne. Morgens schon vor dem Frühstück auf der Terrasse zu sitzen und den verschiedenen Geräusche zu lauschen war ein Genuss. Interessant und besonders waren natürlich auch die vielen dort ansässigen Pfaue, die netten Hunde und Katzen. Der tolle und riesig große Pool lädt zum Schwimmen und Relaxen ein. Der nette Vermieter hat uns mit guten Tipps versorgt, es hat an nichts gefehlt. Santa Maria ist ein sehr guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge aller Art. Der nahegelegene Ort Castel Giorgio und besonders die Bar Asterix ist ein Ort, am dem sich jung und alt - fast ausschließlich Einheimische- treffen. Man bekommt in dem 5km entfernten Ort alles für den täglichen Gebrauch, auch gibt es einige Möglichkeiten zum Einkehren. Kein touristischer Ort, dafür echt italienisch. Jederzeit gerne wieder.

Geschmackvoll und idyllisch urlauben
Unser Aufenthalt war wunderschön und es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Die wirklich tollen Tipps des Vermieters zu empfehlenswerten Restaurants usw. haben den Urlaub komplettiert. Eine zauberhafte Besonderheit sind die vielen Tiere, von denen insbesondere die beiden lieben Hunde unsere Herzen erobert haben.

Traumhafter Aufenthalt
Wir (2 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder im Alter von 8 und 9 Jahren) haben eine wunderschöne Woche auf Santa Maria verbringen dürfen. Es war pure Entspannung in einer unglaublich schönen Umgebung, zu der neben den alten Klostergebäuden besonders die Tiere (Kimba, Brera, Katzen und Pfauen) beigetragen haben. Ganz besonders empfehlenswert für alle, die Ruhe und eine schöne Umgebung suchen, nicht zuletzt der tolle Pool trägt hierzu bei.

The property very nice. The historical Villa a the top of an mountain near Orvieto/lake Bolsena and 1.5 hour drive from the sea is a perfect stay. The villa is situated in a large park with a lot of privacy. The owner takes well care of the property.
