Rural project still in progress

Very nice and spacious apartment in an estate that needs work

We spent a few days in the Sycamore as a stopover on the way to other parts of Italy. Its located in a part of the estate of Villa Meleto that is perfectly renovated and the apartment is nice and perfect for our family. The small room on the ground floor was not comfy so we did not use it (rather moved the bed from that room upstairs into one of the bedrooms). The pool is large and deep and offers a nice view over the countryside. The downside is that the rest of Villa Meleto is by far not as nice as the apartments that are rented out. Windows are broken, parts of the roof are missing and the plants are in dire need of tender loving care. So while the apartment itself is nice and enjoyable for a short stay, the overall setting did not agree with me.

Très beau domaine

Notre séjour sur le grand domaine situé sur une colline fut très agréable. De la terrasse ou de la grande piscine, vous avez une vue à 360 degrés sur la jolie campagne toscane, au milieu d’un parc exceptionnel, ombragé et apaisant (lorsque les autres locataires le respectent le soir). La localisation est idéale pour circuler entre Pise/Lucca, Florence, Sienne et le Chianti. Le logement de style toscan est très propre, bien équipé, en particulier la cuisine (de nombreux plats, le nombre de couverts pourrait être doublé). Le système de climatisation est très efficace. Carmencita a pris le temps de nous présenter son beau projet pédagogique pour faire revivre la Villa Meleto, ancien relais de chasse chargé d’histoire et de belles surprises.

Zu Besuch beim Grafen

Wunderschönes altes toskanisches Anwesen und ehemaliges Jagdschloss auf einem Hügel vor Castelfiorentino. Die Wohnungen sind in den Nebengebäuden des sehr weitläufigen, oft schattigen Areals mit Park und Garten untergebracht, der großer Pool liegt etwas abseits, so dass auch tobende Kinder nicht stören. Schöne Terassen mit weitem Blick in die Landschaft. Appartments im toskanischen Landhausstil mit Terrakottaböden und -decken, sauber und gut ausgestattet, moderne Klimanlage. Sehr freundliche, hilfsbereite Gastgeber; sehr gut englisch sprechend. Zentrale Lage für Fahrten nach Pisa, Siena, Florenz und San Gimignano.

Fantastische plek

Wat een heerlijke plek om te verblijven! Dit historische landgoed heeft appartementen die zéér volledig zijn uitgerust. Ons authentieke mooi opgeknapte appartement lag grotendeels op de eerste verdieping. Wij vonden het geen enkel probleem om met onze ontbijt- en borrelspullen naar het terras een trap lager te lopen om daar te genieten van de (ondergaande) zon achter de Toscaanse heuvels. Het contact met David en zijn gastvrijheid en die van de eigenaren Carmencita en Gianfranco was persoonlijk en erop gericht om het verblijf zo aangenaam en relaxed mogelijk te maken. Alles top, van het prachtige en schone zwembad, tot aan de tafeltennistafel en gratis mountainbikes om de omgeving te verkennen. Perfecte ligging om ook omliggende Toscaanse steden als Florence, Sienna, SanGimignano, Volterra en Greve in Chianti te bezoeken (max 1 uur reistijd). Een volgende keer in Toscane komen we graag weer!
