"HIGHLY recommend this property! My partner and I arrived at Timber Ridge during a week that the Garden of the Gods Recreation Area was closed due to construction. We arrived at the check-in business and quickly saw that they had instructions on alternative ways to access the area. The staff is very knowledgeable of their surroundings, and the information included in the cabin's tourism binder gave you pretty much everything you needed to know about trails, restaurants, and other landmarks to explore during your stay. As for the cabin, it was stocked with everything you would need to be comfortable and take care of yourself during your stay. The kitchen has a wide array of utensils, you could easiy bring groceries and feed yourself or grill outside and make sides. There were cleaning supplies, plenty of sheets and towels, and options to keep yourself either cool or warm. Hot water and strong wifi to use the internet or work the Roku TV. The layout is very intuitive, plenty of space for a couple! As for the service, it was superb. On our first night, we found a wasp nest on the wonderful porch swing by the front door. Once we called, it took less than an hour for them to be in touch, send one of the owners to the cabin, treat the wasps with soapy water, and get rid of the nest altogether. He was also extremely friendly! Overall, an excellent experience that we WILL repeat to see more of Shawnee National Forest. "

"Great base for exploring the Shawnee Forest! Bummer Garden of the Gods was not available, however we figured out how to get in and see via other trails. Great experience and amenities!"

"Very enjoyable stay ... perfect size for my husband and I ... everything we needed. We spent a lot of time on the cute front porch enjoying nature from our seat on the glider. LOVED the swing hanging from the oak tree branch (took me back to my childhood). The neighborhood cat came over for a visit. My husband saw a hummingbird every morning. Roasted hotdogs and made s'mores at the firepit. Cabin was clean. Only down side was the 2 queen beds were up in the loft ... the ladder/stairs were decent, but a little dicey to navigate when needing to use the restroom in the middle of the night. Luckily, the couch on the main level turned into a queen size bed ... and was fairly comfortable. Would definitely return here for another long weekend visit."

"It was a short trip for us to visit Garden of the Gods. This house was exactly what we needed! The kitchen was stocked with all the basic necessities, the house was clean and smelled great, multiple bedrooms and bathrooms make it great for group trips, the laundry room was an added bonus and great to wash our clothes after hiking! We could not beat the location either. Super close to the hiking trails but also close enough to town for dinner. We will be back for more trails!"
