"Excellent service and views, though rooms are more standard than expected for a Mandarin Oriental. Jakarta was an unexpected stop on my journey home, and I booked the Mandarin Oriental at the last minute. The price was surprisingly reasonable for a Mandarin Oriental, though it’s clear why it’s not as expensive as some of the group’s other locations worldwide — it doesn’t have the same “flash” or ultra-luxury feel you might find in, say, Taiwan. What really stood out was the service, which went above and beyond. I had a problem with a taxi attempting to overcharge me and even pretend my payment hadn’t gone through, but the concierge quickly sorted it out and personally ensured I was protected. I requested a high floor and a good view — not only did I get both, but I was also upgraded. A welcome drink on arrival was a nice touch, and the staff were consistently attentive. The restaurants were great — I tried the cake shop and the level-two restaurant, both of which were excellent and reasonably priced. The location is also very convenient, with a shopping center just across the road, which was perfect for my six-hour stay. As for the room, while the view was spectacular, the room itself was quite standard — clean and functional, but not the standout luxury you might expect from a Mandarin Oriental. Overall, this hotel offers outstanding service, location, and views, making it an excellent choice for a short stay, though the rooms themselves are more average in style and fi"

"Hotel Langham Jakarta is a great place to stay. Staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. Rooms are large and business locations in CBD are easy to walk to. Sadly we weren't there long enough to explore more of Jakarta. "
