The Monterey Hotel

"The hotel is such a beautiful historic building. We stayed in the section closer to Calle Principal so we could use the elevator without using the stairs to go in and out. The rooms were very clean and roomy. The architecture and furnishings are reminiscent of Old California. Also, it's just a stone's throw from Old Fisherman's Pier, and the aquarium is a walkable approx. 2 mi. Parking was great - $8 a day in a covered lot. Close to many restaurants and cafes. Ideal location. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Definitely our go to hotel when wer're in Monterey."
