"The Archer Hotel is a wonderful boutique hotel in the heart of Old Town Alexandria. From the moment we pulled up to the curb, the valet welcomed us and helped us with our bags. Our double queen room was clean and the beds were luxurious and comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and included nice lotions, soaps and hair products along with nice touches such as slippers, robes, and a golf umbrella. There were free water bottles and caramels or chocolate treats provided daily. The room included a safe and microwave, though we didn’t use them. The lobby had coffee and tea in the morning and delicious infused water all day. The Archer has a lovely courtyard and a wonderful restaurant for breakfast and lunch right next door called Homegrown. It was so nice to stay somewhere out of the ordinary chain hotels I frequent. I highly recommend the Archer for a wonderful stay in Alexandria."

"Breakfast area was congested as there were bus loads of people coming during my stay. I only had breakfast one morning. "

"Great front desk staff. Outstanding customer service. Half the parking lot was closed, so I was forced to park in the garage, which was a very long walk to the lobby, especially with luggage. The room was clean but virtually no amenitiesI I ate in the restaurant, and the servers were very nice, but the service was very slow. I left in the morning and there was no one at the front desk to check me out. I’ve stayed at this hotel for many many years in all of its different forms and it is still an excellent hotel just not as good as it used to be."
