After booking the appartment, we were supposed to get a notification email regarding entry instructions to the unit. This email, however, never arrived. Because of our flight delay on arrival, we got the the appartment later than expected. When we landed about 19:00 the phones of the people responsible for this area of rental properties that i found on the VRBO website didnt actually work when i called and texted. Finally we arrived to the area around 10 pm, without knowing whether there will be anyone to open the door for us. There indeed wasnt. After about 20 calls and anxious search for a way out of this situation, someone got back to us on the phone and gave instructions as to where to pick up the keys. Dylan, who was super nice and helpful, said, allegedly, we should have gotten an email with instructions, which never arrived as stated previously. Anyway, luckily the office with the keys was not too far away in town. We were able to retrieve the keys from the safe deposit box at the office and get back to the appartment. Another issue with the property is it’s location. Make sure you understand the location of the property. Its about 10-12 minutes driving up the mountains from Chamonix, meaning every travel in the area will usually start from driving. The property itself is practically amazing for spending your holiday. Truly, besides the bad start, our stay was marvelous and i think we would stay there again if had to choose an appartment.
