The villa was immaculate and well equipped with 3 tavernas and a local shop a short walk up the hill, so convenient. Lots to see in Suda Bay when lounging in the pool or patio. So relaxing.

Most memorable for the stunning and un-interrupted views across Souda Bay.

The villa was well equipped, and very comfortable, lovely pool. It should be made clear to guests that the noise from the main coastal road and the secondary road adjacent to the villa is relentless and extremely intrusive.

Amazing views, quiet location, great walking distance restaurants. Would recommend some guidelines for guests to not encourage cats on property. We had one who was extremely aggressive wanting to come into the house and bit my daughter, who was in no way encouraging it. Another we found sleeping on the outdoor sofa in the mornings.

The villa was even more beautiful than the pictures. Super clean. Everything you want provided for. The host was very organised and responded to any enquiries we have immediately. We will definitely be back :) Maybe just add a short guide on using the air con units and what to do if they dont switch on etc :) (i.e open and close the windows again etc). But otherwise everything else was perfect

Great Villa in a good location

Perfect villa and location for visiting Crete. Freelance villas were professional from start to finish. All the info prior to arrival was very helpful and we referred to the manual many times during our 12 day stay. We really enjoyed the fact that we could walk up to the restaurants in the village - our favorite being the Taverna Aptera. It would be helpful if there was a map of the island plus pen and paper. I was chilly at night so a light blanket in the cupboard. You could add Kanakis Olive Mill (local traditional products) to the manual .

Excellent villa

The location of this villa is good. Walking distance to Aptera which has a basic mini market, taverna, kafenion and restaurant. The views across Souda Bay are stunning and offer interest with ships and submarines using the port regularly. You can see planes landing and taking off in the distance but there is no noise from the airport. However, as the villa overlooks the main E75 highway, there is the constant sound of traffic but you soon learn to tune this out. Villa Nikos is extremely well laid out and both the living room furniture and the beds are comfortable. It is cleaned twice a week by a delightful lady and the pool guys are unobtrusive and thorough. The owner was very helpful and fixed a problem we had immediately. Our favourite supermarket was the EKAABENITHE in Souda, laid out on two floors with a car park opposite but there is also a SYN.KA further up the street. We visited Chania several times, as it was so near, the Botanical Gardens, Ancient Aptera, Elafonisi Beach, Lake Kournas (go early before the crowds descend) the Springs of Argyroupolis (which are full of restaurants and not a lot else), Rethymno and also caught the ferry from Chora Sfakion to Loutro. So there is plenty to do! I would definitely recommend a stay at Villa Nikos and would like to thank everyone who helped to make our holiday in Crete so special.

Fantastic Villa!

Amazing place. Great location. Great view. Great restaurants short walk up the hill. Clean and modern villa. It’s not deadly quite as you can hear the road at the seafront but play some music in the background with the speaker provided and it soon disappears. Fully gated off with electric gate. Can’t recommend this place enough. Will be coming back again 100%

Fisher Family Stay May 2022

You will not be disappointed! We arrived at night so couldn’t see much. However when we woke up in the morning, what a surprise. The views are simply breathtaking. The pictures don’t do it justice. The villa itself is perfectly put together and extremely comfortable. We are a family of 6 +1 baby and had plenty of space. The surrounding area is lovely and you're central to all the local towns etc. We would recommend a visit to Old Town Chania, Wine tasting in the hills at Dourakis winery and a meal at the local Taverna "The Aptera" We ate in quite a lot, so the only thing I would say is a few more utensils. Sharper kitchen knife, serving spoons. Everything else was perfect!

Tolles Haus, hochwertige Einrichtung, Elektrogeräte, Strandhandtücher etc. Unglaublich toller Blick auf die Bucht. Check in absolut problemlos. Einziges Manko war das viel zu kalte Wasser des Pools. Der war wunderbar anzusehen aber nicht zu benutzen.

Schöne Villa mit tollem Ausblick

Das Haus liegt an einem Hang und hat einen direkten Blick auf die Bucht von Sousa, wodurch die ein- und ausfahrende Schiffe beobachtet werden können. Die Teller sind für die Spülmaschine zu groß, so dass diese nicht mehr richtig reinigen kann. Sonnenschirme wären gut!

Relaxed vacation in Villa Nikos

he villa is situated slightly below Aptera with a wonderful view of Souda Bay and the Akrotiri peninsula. The villa has a very nice infinity pool, a large barbeque and several seating areas around the house. The villa is well equipped. We slept very well in the comfortable beds. the cleanliness in the villa was very good. We can really recommend the villa for a nice vacation. Special praise also goes to the entire team of freelance villas for the always friendly support and helpful recommendations. Due to the location of the villa, it is very sunny and you only have shade under the sun protection on the house from late morning.
