We had a wonderful time at Charleston Oceanfront Villas! It was in a perfect location on Folly, our favorite beach. It was secure with awesome access to the beach and shopping/restaurants. The only negative I have is that they were doing some painting outside our unit, in the floors below. It didn't disrupt the view at all, but the painters and scaffolding were at the level of our outdoor space.

Family Vacation

The property is accurately represented and was a great stay. We had issues with the door code but a phone call and responsiveness had it resolved within no time. Definitely will book again if back in the area.

Stay at folly beach

Unit was awesome, clean, equipped and easy to get to the beach. Initial entry to the building from the street was a bit of a challenge because we didn’t get a gate code. Also, one of the fobs didn’t work but both situations were fixed quickly. We had a great experience.

Property verry acceptable, good location, good stay but i got a 4am text that woke me up to give me the check in door code… right before my long vacation drive, I could have used a few more hours of sleep, not good business!

Good size for our group of 8. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen stocked well. Close to pier beach and great little grill LoggerHeads across street. Could use some TLC it's an older property.

Beach vacation with friends

This properties location was excellent for access to the beach and the town of Folly. Unit is a little dated and needs a little TLC. Over all it was a comfortable place and it checked many boxes of what we were looking for ie. on the beach, close to town, great parking and easy access to Charleston.

Perfect vacation spot

Great Location

The building itself is old and the stairwells are stinky, but once you get into the unit itself, it is very nice and clean! I would have appreciated some amenities like USB outlets, shampoo, and more than one dishwasher pod, but overall it was great. The location is perfect - right on the beach and a block away from the main street. Super easy for entertaining both children and adults. The pool was also a bit hit!

We had a great stay during our week at this condo. The location was great because it was within walking distance to several restaurants. It is also very close to the pier. The only bad thing about this condo was the door to get in. It is extremely difficult to open and needs to be replaced. We would stay here again though in the future.

Unit is tired

Nice location, however this unit is tired. Long list of small items (such as curtain rods are taped together, cabinet verneer is peeling off, bathroom lighting is lacking, on and on...) but largest item is the master bed is worn completely out. Also found roaches in the kithchen throughout the entire week. Folly Beach is obviously built upon wet lands, however, insect control should be increased in this unit as its not a ground floor unit.

Amazing Improvements

I've stayed at this condo many times over the past few years and I can honestly say I have had a great experience everytime I visit, however, my most recent vacation was the best. Some major upgrades have been made to this unit! My kids loved using the new flat screen TVs with Roku access, especially on days when they were tired from the sun. The beds have been updated and are extremely comfortable and new curtains were added to the master to help better block out that early morning sun ( I am an early riser so I loved being woken up by the sun but my wife... not so much). She was much happier the last time we stayed. I love that this unit is on the end. The proximity to the stairs is extremely beneficial and I always feel safe storing my family's beach gear outside when I stay in this unit. If you are looking for a great place to stay when you visit Folly, check out this condo! It is always my family's first choice.

Great location / Easy Check-in and Out

The check in and out process was really easy. The email communication prior to arrival was very comprehensive and explained everything thoroughly. The keys and all fobs were in the unit and you were given the code. Check out was via text. There were a few minor maintenance issues - but Charlie fixed them in record time. The location is great - easy walk to Folly Beach restaurants and bars and a short drive to downtown Charleston. The pool and beach were nice as well. The unit is nice size but needs some updating. The kitchen cabinets laminate are peeling and it just needs an overall refresh - though that didn't stop us from having a very nice celebration. It might just be a pet peeve of mine, but I don't like the 'signs' all over the unit reminding me of all the RULES. The rules were emailed to me numerous times and all the clutterage of signs for the rules was personally annoying.

Great place to stay in Folly

Second year in a row in this building, although last year was a different unit. Both had a similar, very well thought out floorplan. Access to the beach and pools is superb. This unit is right next to the stairwell but a bit of a haul to the one slow elevator which my mom had to use and we used when loading/unloading. Overall no issues there. The location is super convenient, walk to all the restaurants and shops in Folly in minutes. Loggerheads, a fun bar/restaurant is right across the street. The pier is a 5 minute walk on the beach. This unit had everything we needed, they even provided a new dish sponge, plenty of toilet paper, dish detergent, and trash bags (seemed intentional rather than left over from the previous guest like you usually see). The furniture setup throughout including the porch was nice and in good repair. Smart TV had integrated Netflix. Overall, a great place to stay and would stay again. A few items I would list as "improvable": 1. The pillows and bed (at least in the master) were not great, super thin pillows, very hard bed. They definitely did not seem to have invested money there - bring your own pillows for sure. 2. We only got 2 key fobs which was not convenient because you need one to get to the beach, to the pool, and through the gate into the parking deck. With a four bedroom, and different groups hitting the beach at different times and some people driving into Charleston or out for groceries or whatever, only have 2 fobs takes some juggling and is an inconvenience. Having a gate code to at least be able to drive in without a fob would have helped. The good far outweighs the bad, we'd definitely return.
