「Amazing! We lived in Charlevoix 55 yrs ago as newlyweds in the Coast Guard. Husband spoke with Earl Young to rent the Half House. Couldn’t afford at 150 mo!!! ! So this was soo fun. Beach down the hill, town is walk able everywhere. It’s pretty much original so enjoy the history of it!!! We’ll be back!」

「Older cottage that has been restored very nicely. Bedrooms were large and comfortable. The outside was very spacious and soooo quite. You can walk to the beach and yet was very close to Charlevoix. Gerry was a great host and saw to our every need.Thanks」

「The cottage is exactly as presented in the listing, on the edge of St. James facing the harbor. The cottage was extremely clean, and the kitchen, bathrooms, and deck were all recently renovated - we think we were the first to stay with the new deck out front. Keith & Sheri provided easy check-in and check-out instructions and were very helpful about the ferry. The location is great, a three-minute walk to the grocery store, Whiskey Point Brewing, and the Wild Strawberry. Walking the other way...

「This was the perfect escape from our busy lives. My adult daughter and granddaughter was able to come along with my mom and our other kiddos so the extra bathrooms was so nice and the flow of the home. It was easy walking distance to town. Just minutes away. The town is so cute and we would definitely go back. 」

「From the curb you might think there's no way its as big as listed. The house goes deep. Plenty of room on the main floor for entertaining with almost all bedrooms upstairs. Clean, plenty of cooking utensils and sil erware. Hosts are quick to respond. Perfect for our group.」

「The Mint was very clean. The queen bed upstairs was very hard as others stated. Maybe a mattress topper needed. Sheets and towels need replacing. 」

「We had an amazing stay at our cottage. Everything was clean and quiet with a fantastic view!! We were greeted by a family of Grouse when we arrived which was also so very cute. All necessities were provided for us to cook in the kitchen. Beds were also very comfy. Great memories!!!」

「This little gem is our secret quiet space. Always so clean, just the perfect size and a tub to melt in. After we relax a couple days, plenty to see and do in the area. We found a new state park to explore, enjoyed a local resturant and wallowed in the big comfy bed all the next morning...see you again next fall!!」

「Overall we were very pleased with the house and location of it. We were looking for peaceful place to stay and not to be disturbed by the neighbors. The house is located maybe 10 minutes outside of town so going to the grocery store or going to eat dinner was extremely easy. I spent most mornings sitting on the couch looking out the back door at the lake and private dock. 「We love having our extended family from Atlanta, New York, and Boston in Michigan for the summer, and nothing is more enjoyable than staying on Walloon Lake. This year, we had a wonderful week in this charming cottage! The cottage was just as described and made for a sunshine and lake-filled vacation, with plenty of common areas to play games and share family meals. The large porch is a highlight, allowing for amazing lake views at all times. We look forward to returning and again enjoying this...

「we used the cottage to handle some family “overflow” at our lake house on Walloon. Location was great as it was close to the main house and offered a great opportunity to walk into the village for dinner at Watershed, BarrelBack, and to hit the General Store」
