Well located in old town and walkable to many cafes, restaurants and temples. Helpful and excellent staff, very unique with charming decor, and an amazing made to order breakfast. Upgrade your room to get an amazing view of the temples and mountains.

We were very happy with our room and the staff went out of their way to make our stay a good one. The hotel is very conveniently located in the Old Town and there are lots of things to do. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

The superior and deluxe rooms were very clean but small. The breakfast meals were the tastiest meals I had in Chiangmai. The Restaurants could not match up. We stayed in another hotel before this, which we really liked, but even their staff could not match up to the staff in Makkachiva. Fon and Ploy were helpful and kind. The lady at the breakfast area was also so sweet. The paintings in the hotel are beautiful . They have taken so much trouble to create beautiful interiors but unfortunately the beds in our superior and later deluxe room were so uncomfortable that we would get up with aching backs. We were extremely disappointed with the mattresses. They gave us toppers the next night but it did not help much. Nevertheless, I do not want to take the credit from the hotel staff. Each and everyone was kind and humble.. please, thank the staff for us

If you are looking for a perfect spot to spend time in Chaing Mai…this is it! The hotel is so beautiful and peaceful located in the heart of the city. The staff were wonderful and made our stay so enjoyable- the breakfast was amazing with a large variety of choices, the location allows you access to temples, restaurants, shopping and bars without needing a taxi as it is all walkable. We loved our stay and will come back here next time.

Amazing Boutique for First Time Travelers

What an amazing little hotel! This is a great place for first time visitors to Chiang Mai. Great location near plenty of shops. Food is great and room and service is even better. Will definitely be staying again in the future!

This is an absolutely beautiful hotel located in the heart of the Old city with very friendly staff. We checked in easily and were shown to our room. The hotel has a no-shoe policy so you remove your shoes in the lobby and they provide you with slip-ons to wear around the hotel. I loved how relaxing it is and the fact that it's located across the street from a temple adds to the ambience. The hotel is an art hotel and features beautiful artwork throughout as well as lanna reliefs in each room. It is conveniently located with shopping spots within walking distance and is down the block from the Sunday Night Market. You could easily use Grab or a tuk-tuk to visit the Night Market, which is also close by. One of the best aspects of this hotel is the breakfast! The menu is robust and delicious, and the serving is very generous and filling. I definitely recommend giving this hotel a try if you're spending time in Chiang Mai!

Loved the hotel location, such delightful, accommodating, smiling, friendly, patient, flexible extended services. Breakfast selection was wholesome and good. It’s not far from anywhere within the wall. The hotel is perfect boutique size, beautifully decorated, and the hanging money plants/water feature in the central area adds to the tranquility. My only criticism would be the poor lighting in the bathroom and hair conditioner is not part of the bathroom amenity. But they obliged when requested.
