Great location- but lots of problems
The location is ideal. One can walk to town on the prairie path and to the train into Chicago. The open layout of the place was excellent for a large group for talking and eating. The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms looked very nice.
There were many problems with the property. The wrong code was given for entering the home.
Instructions missing for how to enter a code
We actually got in via a plumber who was working there who gave us another code.
The lights in the bedrooms and basement turned on intermittently. The host sent an electrician who helped with this problem.
The Icemaker doesn’t work
The water filter and air filter on the fridge are missing.
There was a large turd in the toilet in the basement.
There was no heating or cooling, or the thermostat doesn’t work
The handle that is used to turn on basement shower comes off in one’s hand.
There is no drain plug in bathtub
All of the towels in linen closet were wet. We had to put them in the dryer.
The basement bedroom closet door is off its hinges
The couch in the living room has a pull out trundle that isn’t attached.
The first floor shower door is off the tracks.
There is a loud banging noise in the back bedroom that is intermittent throughout the night. Is it a sump pump? No-one was able to sleep in the room because it was so noisy.
The downstairs bathroom ceiling fan is not in the ceiling. It is lying on a shelf. There is a hole where the fan should be.
