I wanted to love this hotel but unfortunately, I have to write this review instead because of the way our situation was handled by management. Warning! room 1 does not have hot water!! We specifically booked this hotel because we had confirmed that it had hot water in the rooms & ours did not. Long story short there was a lot of back and forth on whatsapp with management & no solution. He offered to let us "borrow" a shower 1 day out of 5 which was obviously not acceptable. we offered to move rooms and they didn't have any. the manager was rude and was extremely defensive putting blame on us, expedia. anyone he could think of instead of the hotel. he never came to meet us face to face. Was told we would be refunded if we found a new hotel, when i found one he backtracked and refused to refund. We ended up checking out mid trip to go stay at Mirasurf hotel (highly recommend you stay there! the staff and hotel were 5 stars!) While El Xalli pool deck is beautiful & instagrammable, the road below is a major highway and is extremely loud with trucks passing by constantly. not walkable at all. The woman bartender was great but the other staff ignored us (I'm assuming because of our complaint) I wish I could give extensive details but it only allows so many characters. My husband and I travel a lot all over the world and I have never left a hotel mid trip. So disappointing. Hopefully they use this as a tool to learn rather than be so defensive & blaming the guests

El Xalli is a wonderful hotel and an amazing place to relax and recharge. You are close enough to walk to El Zonte, but far enough away from any of the crowds to be able to relax. The food at the hotel was amazing, particularly the breakfast! In addition, the staff goes above and beyond to help with anything you need, and will use WhatsApp to communicate. Lastly, the hotel set up transportation through Alejandro, and he was an amazing driver. He took us all over the place and we felt safe and got to see local sites that we would have otherwise missed. I highly recommend this hotel! Thanks for everything; we hope to return some day!

Really enjoyed how it was home welcoming made it feel so cozy. Also, seeing how the staff makes sure the guests are well attended was a great. The breakfast plate called Típico Salvadoreano was so good, including the lemonade, and the Bowl De Frutas. I also loved how it was pet friendly even the furry members can enjoy a good stay. I would recommend this place. 10/10

I stayed for a week and i have to say it was amazing. The views from the pool area was spectacular. The outside area was neat and cozy, the service was top notch, and the area was very quiet and safe. One thing I feel is necessary to point out was that the bathroom needed a bit of a deeper clean, other than that my family and I enjoyed our stay. The area helped us recognize the beautiful pacific coast of El Salvador. 10/10 recommend.

I had a great experience with El Xalli. The room we stayed in was great. The kitchen was well stocked, the rooms were large and the entire facility is well maintained. It was a bit far from venues but we Ubered to a lot of places which was fine. However, I would recommend fixing the entrance because a lot of ubers would nit drive up the hill. Other than that. It was great.

The apartments were lovely. We suffered a power outage and lost the food in our refrigerator. No offer was made to compensate. Pool and patio bar were wonderful. The pool beds needed cleaning. We went as a small family with our 7 yr old daughter. The apartment was wonderful and had everything we needed (coffee maker, kettle, microwave, toaster oven, air fryer you name it). The place was super clean and the staff wonderful and super responsive. Would definitely recommend this place. We used Uber to get around and had no issues!
