A very comfortable cottage in a great location

We had a lovely few days in Sundown Lodge. The cottage was beautifully furnished, and very warm and cosy. The kitchen was very well equipped and we had dinner in nearly every evening. Location perfect for exploring the north Cotswolds, very convenient for Chipping Campden and Broadway. And the sunsets really were great!

What a wonderlfull stay

We had a wonderfull stay at Sundown Lodge. The house had a great ambiance and it was very complete (more than complete). The location is amazing; from the house you can make the best hikes. The views are stunning. We appreciated the enclosed patio, from where we could watch the sunset together with our dog. Nick was the best host: he is very kind and charming and made sure we were ok. There isn’t anything we can think of that could be better. We would love to come back some time. Nick’s house is really a hidden gem.

Peaceful Cottage

We had a wonderful stay at Sundown Lodge. It is very clean and well equipped with modern appliances, and in a perfect peaceful location to explore the Cotswolds. We met the owner, Nick, who couldn't do enough to make our stay an enjoyable one. We certainly hope to book again in the future.

A wonderful holiday

Our stay at Sundown Lodge has been wonderful. We could walk directly into fields from our patio. We have visited nearby villages and many other walks in this beautiful part of the Cotswolds. The cottage is furnished to a very high standard and was warm and cosy. We loved it so much we have already booked to stay again!

Lovely mini break

We visited over Valentine's weekend and loved the peacefulness of the cottage. The cottage was very welcoming and spotlessly clean. The weather was not kind to us so we didn’t walk as intended, but had we wanted to venture out, there were plenty of routes to choose. Chipping Camden, Moreton and Broadway are all very nearby, so always plenty to do, with places to eat or pick up supplies. The kitchen was very well equipped for those who like to self cater.

A perfect getaway

This really is a gem. It’s a stunning place, which was immaculately clean and tastefully decorated. It’s extremely comfortable and has all the mod cons you’ll need. We were here for 3 blissfully peaceful nights and enjoyed every second of it. We have stayed in many dog friendly places before, but this one was so clean you’d never have guessed pets were allowed! There are so many beautiful places to visit just a stones throw away, including Broadway, Chipping Campden and the picturesque villages of Snowshill and Stanton. We have already recommend this place to friends and family, and will hopefully be back to stay soon.

Lovely peaceful break

Great cottage with everything you need for a break in the Cotswolds! Welcome milk , biscuits, tea and coffee were appreciated. In great clean condition with all mod cons. Not easy to find - signage on the gatepost would help, and more information on where to park eg side of property / in front of outbuilding etc (we had to move our cars as we’d parked in the wrong place - there was no signage or information in the booking). Would recommend a stay at sundown lodge - rural and peaceful but an easy drive to neighbouring villages and towns.

Best ever stay away my family as ever had !

Well the host Nick was the nicest person Ive ever met Showed my children and myself such wonderful hospitality we saw his chickens daily had fresh eggs he went out of his for my kids who do have special needs he took us lambing with him he’s house is top of the notch on design the highest quality in appliances the details inside the house is so stunning there’s not one thing I would change we didn’t want to leave and will certainly be returning again and again Nick thank you for everything you was such a wonderful person I think met a friend for life ! Kids still are asking when can we go back !

Beautiful little cottage in a quiet location

Sundown Lodge is a gorgeous location in the heart of the Cotswolds. The cottage has been decorated to a very high standard and you could not ask for anything more for a short stay. The bed is super comfortable and the blackout blinds were greatly appreciated! Hot water and lovely fluffy towels made showering a joy too. We were not able to take advantage of the views from the fields as the weather was slightly misty but am sure they're beautiful. Only one small slightly negative comment would be that the kitchen table and chairs were not suitable for the kitchen and should have been left outside. All the other furniture in the cottage was really good quality but this let it down slightly. Thanks for a wonderful stay and we would not hesitate in returning to Sundown Lodge.
