We loved the short getaway at the cabin. Very short drive from NoVA with young kids. We rented the whole cabin, which was very clean. Kids loved the bunk bed ideas and skyline windows to watch the sky and snowing. The food was amazing. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Bonfire and smores was a big hit for kids.

River Mountain was truly a special getaway for our family. The hikes we took on the property were very pretty and playing games in the barn was a fun time for all. We enjoyed the happy hour and s'mores by our own fire pit. The cabin itself was very nice and Mike and Montana could not have been more accommodating. It was great to have dining options on site as well as some snacks for sale, too. We highly recommend River Mountain - and look forward to returning!

We had such a wonderful time at the cabin. Everyone, especially Darcy, were friendly and helpful. The cabin was so clean and the beds were so comfortable!! My sister, children and myself take a vacation together once a year and will definitely be back.
