"We were sent a code for the property via a WhatsApp chat and check in was very easy. It was a short walk from the train station and we could walk to the lake, funicular and olive grove walk so the location was excellent. The apartment was very compact so I would check the floor space before booking. There were no dishwasher tablets or coffee grounds for the machine but these can be bought downstairs. For a short stay it would be good to have at least one dishwasher tablet as most shops are...

"The apartment was very nice, it provided all the necessary amenities. It was always quiet and relaxing. Conveniently located near City Center in Varese, restaurants, shops, and sight seeing was often within walking distance. The host had the place well organized and was available to assist with any problems that arose. Myself and my two adult children really enjoyed our stay. Hotel Osteria della Pista

Hotel Osteria della Pista

8/10 Good
"This hotel is close to Malpensa Airport and advertises shuttle services to and from. I was unable to contact them for a ride from the airport; but the morning shuttle to the airport was on time and timely. A couple of glitches occurred. I left a wake up request for 6 am; instead it came at 5. I had dinner in the spacious restaurant. I ordered the porcini with tagliatelle, which is in season. The kitchen did not properly clean the porcini (I know from experience this takes some care and time) and the resulting sauce was gritty. Not good. But the rest of the dinner experience was fine. Good wine list, good service. Just need to be more careful in the kitchen prep."
