Brilliant uppergrade to an apartment. Very attentive, courteous and friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble, even when the whole village suffered a blackout due to an electrical fault. The weather was even gracious to us, and views were spectacular

We arrived early so had a drink in the bar, check in was at 4 but they started to let people check in at 15:40, it was smooth and there were no issues, the lady was friendly and very helpful. We didn't visit any of the local sights due to a bad back, We spent much of our time in Cockermouth and Lorton. Cockermouth is a lovely small town with lots of great shops and places to eat

Travel light because no help with luggage to the room. Slightly confusing arrangement of the new wings where at the common entrance no room numbers were displayed. If you are vegetarian, food is limited.Pricey, £30 golf voucher not any help to us
