We had a room #302 with a big jacuzzi - which was a treat. The bed was super comfortable and the room was very clean. The breakfast came at the time requested and was delightful. I’m not sure that we got the “deluxe room with kitchenette” that we requested - although the room did have a mini fridge and Nespresso machine. We would have enjoyed having a comfortable chair or small sofa for sitting though. Please note that if you are arriving by car, it is very difficult to find this place and parking is also a problem. It felt a bit like a “Alice in Wonderland” experience.

It’s impossible to rate our stay because the hotel had to cancel due to an issue. The surprising part is you are asking me to rate a stay that didn’t exist. I tried to cancel the booking through you but experienced nothing but incompetence from your company. Not the hotels fault

Bem frustrante!

Dei uma nota maior que a inicialmente pretendida em consideração a todas que compõem o hotel (me refiro a todas porque só vi mulheres). São todas muito atenciosas e se esforçam para tornar a estadia o mais agradável possível, mas isso acaba sendo uma verdadeira proeza. O hotel é convenientemente bem localizado para quem se destina a alguma atividade na Universidade de Coimbra, mas assim não sendo, não recomendo. O acesso é dificil, estacionamento é uma complicação e o isolamento geral de praticamente tudo dificulta ainda mais. O quarto em si não é pequeno, porém é tão mal dividido e tão mal ocupado que acaba gerando muito desconforto. Precisei trabalhar durante alguns dias em meu computador e me vi obrigada a fazê-lo encostada na cama, com uma bandeja sobre as pernas, que me foi gentilmente oferecida por uma das moças do hotel, simplesmente porque não havia no quarto, nem na recepção, nem em qualquer local do estabelecimento, uma mínima mesinha de apoio. E por esta mesma razão, o café da manhã é servido no quarto de modo bem desconfortável, porque o único lugar possível para apoiar a cesta é uma cômoda abaixo da televisão, e assim sendo, ou você come em pé ou sentada na cama. O banho também não é nada prazeroso. Meu marido que tem 1.82m precisava encolher os joelhos porque o teto na parte interna do box encostava na cabeça dele. Uma reforma c/ readaptação dos espaços é algo que se faz realmente necessário para melhorar a qualidade da estadia e deixo aqui como humilde sugestão

Great place, but not for mobility impaired

The place is 2-3 small townhouses in a cute cobblestone road near the university. The sign of the hotel blends with the facade , therefore we were not able to see it right away. The check in process was seamless. Our room was across the street on a renovated, 2 story room with jacuzzi. Breakfast is served in your room. The fridge did not work. If you need anything from the front desk you can message through WhatsApp but do not expect fast service. As the hotel is high in the hill, you need to walk downhill ( and then back up) if you want to go by the river. I would stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Solar Antigo! The staff were very attentive and helpful. The hotel is in a central location, being both close to the university and close to the city center. The rooms were nicely designed, albeit not the best when it comes to functionality. The shower is right beside the bed, and since it’s see through you can always see the toilet. It’s not great when it comes to privacy in that regard. Beyond that, however, this was a great property, and we’d stay again!
