It was short walk from the train station and like 50 minutes from London. The restaurant in the hotel is pretty good and the bus to colchester city center is pretty good. The hotel was clean and check out was pretty easy as well.

We had a wonderful stay at the Delta Marriott while visiting the area for a family birthday! Since it was an unusually hot day, walking into a crisp, perfectly air-conditioned room was a huge relief. Our room was very spacious for our family of four, with comfortable beds, quality linens, excellent room amenities, and a nice, clean bathroom. The kids loved the pool, which is conveniently located in its own separate area. Breakfast the next morning was great with plenty of variety to keep everyone happy, and the staff were exceptionally polite, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. All in all, a fantastic experience—we’d definitely stay here again!

Hotel is good, was moved to a bigger bedroom without any fuss, the staff were great Breakfast was nice and hot and the swimming pool facilities were ok but a little tired Overall I would recommend this hotel, especially if going to the zoo, a ten minute drive

I was overall happy with the service I received & the cleanliness of the room. All the staff i encountered were very helpful & friendly. The only small criticism I have is that on my second day during breakfast, they ran out of pancakes. The pancakes were so delicious I was a bit frustrated, but I understand it wasn't the fault of staff directly.

I couldn't fault this stay (aside from paying 8 pounds for parking on top of the room). The room was good value for money, excellently appointed with comfortable beds and a lovely modern bathroom. It was also very quiet in spite of being near to a main road. The hotel has a modern feel and feels fresh and bright. The staff were superb - all very friendly and welcoming. A big shout out to Holly who was exceedingly warm, kind and helpful. The pool and gym were great - pool was warm, not busy, lovely to do laps in, and the gym was quiet. Really great short break from London and I look forward to coming back again.

Great staff, large room, nice bathroom, pool great, easy to park. Breakfast OK pretty standard. Kids loved the pancake machine! More choice of eggs would be good. Booked executive family king. Beds comfy but are not king size. Expected a little more in room for going the extra cost such as coffee machine. Got a couple of chocolate bars though! Would stay again if in the area.
