Ring Day Party
We booked several nights to be there for our son’s Ring Day and have a family party a few days later. The house is lovely and the beautiful yard allowed us to have a corn hole competition! We will definitely be back!

Family girls trip
The farmhouse was perfect inside and out. The roses were blooming when we arrived. The front porch is welcoming, every room is clean, comfortable and sweetly decorated. The chickens are friendly and the fresh eggs were a real treat. We loved this little retreat and have already recommended it to friends and family. We will definitely choose it again when we visit College Station.

Perfect spot
My niece got married at Peach Creek Ranch and this was a perfect location. The house is decorated adorable with spring and Easter decor - nice touch. Would definitely stay again.

A taste of home away from home!
Our family made countless memories in College Station when my wife and I were in school at A&M. When we became parents, we always talked about taking our girls to the special place that impacted our lives and our relationship so much! Mr. and Mrs. Scott were fantastic hosts and the house was exactly what we were looking for. Growing up and living in a small town, the peace of the country was something that drew us to the property immediately. After watching the Aggies win at Olson Field, it was so nice “escaping” the hustle and bustle of the town and enjoying some peace and quiet, along with our privacy. Will definitely be staying at the Farmhouse again and a big thank you to our hosts for the accommodations that made a special trip for our family just that much better!

We enjoyed this home so very much. Very clean. Beds so comfortable. Farmhouse with all the updates. Everything you could ever need. More than enough linens and towels, etc. Basic spices, condiments, coffee, tea, creamer all for our use. Loved the chickens and fresh eggs just steps behind the home. The fire pit was a delight. They’ve thought of every detail. Not one single complaint. Loved every minute and truly didn’t want to leave.

Great property
This property was great and the hosts were wonderful. Very easy to communicate with and very hospitable. We really appreciate them allowing us to bring our 2 dogs. We have often encountered difficulties finding a place that permits pets. The house was very clean and comfortable. Its an older home but has been renovated with all modern conveniences. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who wants a great place that is quiet and peaceful. Wonderful place to relax. This was our 2nd visit and we plan to rent it again in the future.

Perfect Stay!
This property was precious. It was secluded and spacious. Everything was modern but old school charm everywhere. The home had EVERYTHING you could think of including a personal fan, dog bowls and bug spray. We loved watching the chickens. It was exactly what we wanted!! I will definitely return for our next family gathering. Could not have been ANY better.

Perfect farm house stay!
The farm house exceeded expectations. We were in town for a family wedding at a nearby venue, and the property provided the perfect, quiet respite from the hustle-bustle of large gatherings. Kitchen and bedrooms were well appointed, backyard fire pit was a sweet bonus!

Cute farmhouse!
This place was perfect for us! It was our first time visiting Texas during Roundtop and it felt like home away from home. Not too far from town but just enough where it isn’t crowded by neighbors. Also we were blessed with an egg by one of the hens during our stay! We will definitely be back and we will choose to stay here again

Wonderful house and owners
This property was great. Small, restored houses with all of the modern appliances and convivences, and a 10-15 minute drive to campus depending on traffic. Quiet and relaxing. It is often hard to find properties that allow pets but this one did and it was a great place for our 3 dogs. Very roomy yard with plenty of room for them to enjoy themselves. Guests need to appreciate this privilege by cleaning up the poop piles in the yard before you leave as we did. Owners provide the necessary equipment. We loved our two nights at the property and will definitely use it again.

Great Experience!
Wow! Staying at Kathy’s place was a great experience. The farmhouse was very clean and we had everything we needed! We enjoyed the fresh eggs and the open yard! We were able to catch up with family around a warm fire at the fire pit! We felt like we were way out in the country but only a few miles from campus and right around the corner from the venue for the wedding we attended. It was an ideal location. We will definitely stay again when we are in town! Thanks Kathy for graciously sharing Big Oak Farmhouse with us!

Great Place
On a bird hunting trip to Walton Ranch which is nearby. Stayed at the farm house and had fresh eggs from the coop each morning. The place was clean, well stocked, peaceful and perfect for our trip.

Very cute little farmhouse, as advertised. The house was clean and very comfortable. We spent each morning and evening sitting outside listening to the chickens. We did eat fresh eggs which were a hoot to collect. Very impressed with this property. Would definitely stay again!

Easter Celebration!
We had a wonderful stay away from home in College Station celebrating family and Easter. The property was so lovely and peaceful, making our getaway a special memory that we’ll always treasure. The Easter morning breakfast (made special out back) was a real treat along with the evening fire that we enjoyed. We are looking forward to returning again to enjoy this beautiful home- thank you!

Great little country getaway!
We had a great stay. House was very clean and well kept. It also has a great outdoor space including a chicken coop with 4 super friendly chickens. It is on a few minutes outside of College Station, but far enough out that you get some relief from traffic. We did not cook, but house appeared to be well equipped if you wanted to. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were great. We will definitely stay again when visiting our kids at TAMU. Thanks for letting us stay in your wonderful property!

We loved the farmhouse! Plenty of room, clean and nicely furnished, games to play, chickens & fresh eggs, a well-equipped kitchen, a fire bowl/ring and seating to roast marshmallows, responsive host, etc etc etc. I highly recommend it!

Cute farmhouse close to town
Stayed here for a combination Aggie football, Renaissance, campus tour weekend. Checkin was a breeeze, house was clean, and the added amenities (TVs, DirecTV, grill and firepit) were very nice. We loved seeing the chickens and the garden, and ended up with 1/2 dozen eggs over our stay. It was quiet, and away from town, but not so far that we couldn't get DoorDash to deliver. Will definitely keep this property in mind for our next stay.

Our family met up to relax for a weekend and go to a football game. This farmhouse exceeded our expectations! Besides being cute, it was functional with all the "extras" needed for a group our size- 7 adults and 2 children. The chickens were a big hit with the kids- so fun to see them lay eggs! Beautiful farmhouse
My family rented this beautiful little farmhouse because we were evacuating from Hurricane Ida. Our home and community were direct hits. The renter allowed us to stay extra nights and was so amazing to us! We definitely plan on visiting again in the future! Our children and family absolutely loved it.

Perfect peaceful country setting while convenient to everything in BCS!
We had a wonderful, relaxing stay here while attending a personal development conference with three generations of my family and a friend staying together. The care that the hosts have poured into this property was evident down to the smallest detail. It simply felt like home. 5 Star experience! The house and property were perfect for our family as we celebrated graduation. I can’t say enough positive things about Big Oak Farmhouse! The owner was very welcoming. The house was just perfect! Clean, well supplied with all you need, cozy, warm and inviting! We so enjoyed the fire pit in the back yard and our grand babies loved the chickens! Just the perfect family get away!

Perfect family weekend getaway
The house and yard were perfect for our family and our fur baby. We loved collecting eggs from the hens for breakfast and had everything we could have asked for and more. I've never stayed in a rental as well stocked and carefully maintained. My family hopes to stay again!

What a perfect piece of paradise on a big piece of land! The house has such charming details - I am still thinking about the adorable sheets and comfortable beds. There's an amazing coffee maker. My kids loved the chickens and collecting fresh eggs. There were plenty of blankets and towels. There were toiletries and spices and such for cooking. You can tell a lot of love and time has gone into this home. The host was so responsive and welcoming, we just enjoyed every second here. Thank you so much for having us! We loved it!

Cutest little farmhouse right outside the city with chickens and charm. They literally thought of everything. Great coffee, good pots and pans, tons of non box required charging stations - just so easy. You feel like you’re at your parents second HOME. Not someone’s house. Fantastic property.
