We spent a lot of time at the pool with the kids, they loved it, especially when the monkeys and toucans were hanging out in the trees. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The only downside we found was the transportation between the hotel and Tortuguero town. There is a boat provided for the hotel every few hours, but it isn't often enough to be convenient. “We had the most amazing lodging at Valverde, Room 1, with the private pool right on the water. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff, especially Rocio, were so attentive and friendly. The grounds were well kept. The availability of the shuttle to and from Tortuguero town worked perfectly for us. We booked a 6am canoe trip on our second day and we saw lots of birds and a cayman. “Pour une fois l'appellation "Beach Front" est totalement justifiée. La terrasse en hauteur est à 20m de la plage avec accès direct de la chambre. Du fond du hamac, bercé par la rumeur du ressac on se sent le roi du monde. Grande chambre avec des matelas tout à fait convenable. J'ajoute un accueil souriant et très attentif. L'ensemble reste un peu rustique mais pour moi les 5 étoiles sont bien méritées.”

The staff were all very nice and extremely helpful, particularly Leo who was regularly ensuring that we were happy with everything. “AC was excellent and much needed in hot, humid climate. Awesome view. Family room was excellent for cost value. Unfortunately, new obnoxious bar next door plays terrible music late into the night. Not the fault of the guesthouse and maybe not an issue mid week. ”
