Fun on the Frio

We had an amazing time in Concan. The house was the perfect size for our kids and grandkids. The absolute best feature was the pool and outdoor space. The house was snuggled up on the hill and surrounded by trees. We saw deer, hummingbirds and a roadrunner on the property. The outside restroom saved multiple trips into the house for the restroom. A few of the beds were not too comfortable but everything else was great.

The View is a Plus

My family and I host a Concan trip every year w/ various groups of family & friends for the past 15-19 years. We have stayed everywhere from Neal's, RV & tent camped, rented other VRBO properties, Garner, and even stayed in Leakey....you name it, we have ventured and tried it. The HILLSIDE definitely has lots of room for improvement!!! The outdoor bathhouse, BBQ smoker, and maintenance man being prompt were the best features of the rental. Starting with being given a "Slight glimmer of hope to be checked in early (along with 3 other families staying at other rentals who received the same mention) we were left waiting at the office, then having to return later. NEXT Directions / Address (absolutely horrible) Room descriptions (need improvement) Parking (super tight and shared with neighbors, Everyone in Texas drives TRUCKS or large vehicles) The home is older and defiantly has VERY limited insulation. For a 2 story home with plywood walls you will need additional fans. The SMELL of the WELL / water outside isn't welcoming. We love Concan but this location just wasn't up to Par for us and we are country bumpkins, promise!!!
