"Great little place to stay to enter the NE Entrance of Yellowstone. I was there by myself to hike and see wildlife and boy did it deliver. Cooke City is VERY small town with no cell service, but Elk Horn Lodge has wifi. There are a handful of places in town to eat if you don’t want to cook. The cabin was clean and the hosts are attentive and kind. Jeff even loaned me a fishing pole for the week although I never ended up using it. Super friendly folks around Elk Horn Lodge. Entry into Yellowstone is a breeze from this side. I waited in line at the entrance only once behind two cars- the rest of the time I was the only one around at the entrance. It was unbelievable compared to the other gates. Also a perfect spot to drive the opposite way to go over the Beartooth Highway and Chief Joseph Highway. Highly recommend both drives and the Elk Horn Lodge. "
