“We were greeted by our host, Rosi, when we arrived. She was very welcoming and understanding to the fact that we were late. Her little cottage was all that we hoped it would be. Simple, rustic, and everything you would think an Irish cottage should be. The location was great. Waking up to the view of the mountains was amazing. “Fantastisk beliggenhed med den smukkeste udsigt. Mulighed for mange gode ture - til fods eller i bil - fra stedet. Lejligheden var kold og uden radiator i spise-opholds-stuen (der var radiatorer i de andre rum). Vi savnede en ansat på stedet til at svare på spm. Fx da der ikke var varmt vand eller da vi ikke kunne få badet på 1. sal til at virke. Eller om de havde en mobil radiator til spiseområdet ;)”

“I booked "University of Galway Apartments" thinking that I would get an apartment. My wife teaches a summer course at Galway and my son and I stayed with her in her four-bedroom apartment last year. Much to my surprise, this year my son and I didn't get an apartment ... we got a single dormitory room in Dunlin Village. A single dormitory room with a small bed and a chair and nothing else. No coffeemaker, no nothing. Just towels, soap, body wash. Amazingly, this was billed as a "deluxe"……

“Can't recommend enough. Beautiful location on Lough Corrib. We had a family reunion and the house had everything we needed for big dinners on the shores of the lough or in inclimate weather, eating indoors. Oughterard is very easy to get to from Galway on a new road that makes the journey quick. (about 30 mins) The town itself is lovely with nice food options for eating out. The interior of the house is very comfy. Especially the beds. The furniture is a bit dated but did not present any……

Easy bus travel—5 min walk to the pub or flag the bus on the road; easy travel to Galway and An Spidéal (look up galwaybayfishing.com for a fantastic day out, finishing with a meal of the fish you caught in a local restaurant …#bestdayever!!). 1.5 hrs to Bunratty Castle too!!”

We had meals and played games in the great room, viewed the sunsets from the rooftop ramparts and generally lived like the Royal family (minus the servants of course).
