「Lovely welcome. Great food in the evening. Comfy bed and quirky clean room with fluffy white towels. Superb breakfast. Highly recommend this historical inn. Thank you.」

「We had a very comfortable stay at the wheatsheaf in Swindon, staff were friendly and welcoming, a bar that was open for drinks and places to sit and relax. Our room was comfortable although window wouldn’t stay open to let in fresh air as it was a warm day outside. Our even meal was delicious with a good choice of menu. Breakfast was also good and the service was swift. a great start to our day. All in all an enjoyable stay would revisit this hotel again in the future.」

「great place, super food, wonderful selection of beer and polite and friendly staff.」

「Such a lovely quiet area , the garden area on good day is great to sit out in , breakfast is really good too」

「The staff was more than helpful, food was superb, room was cosy, because I couldn’t have breakfast they put me up a packed lunch. More than happy to stay again.」

「Very friendly host with lots of useful local info. Top quality delicious breakfast, comfortable bed.」

「Very nice hotel…..recommended」

「Check in was not good. I traveled from a different country and needed wifi to get a code. I had to drive 5 miles to get to a friend to call the owners. The owners were in and out of service so they could only text. When i finally got the proper code. It was 5 flights of steep stairs. It should have been told how many flights of stairs to go with a large suitcase.」

「I was in Rm 4, a small twin with ensuite. The window opened (hood) but unfortunately, right onto the alley where the cooking fan vented. It was quite loud but did stop before bedtime. Breakfast was surprisingly included and very tasty. Did not have dinner as there was nothing small that I wanted to eat. I was later told by a customer that you could order half portions of the main menu items. I didn’t realize this and would have done so. Good drafts on tap, staff were friendly but the room...

「Excelente lugar para quedarse, super tranquilo, todo casero y local. Un lugar encantador.」

「Excellent service with the food absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend. On a small note my wife who is partially sighted could not clearly see some of the steps when going down the stairs due to the pattern of the carpet. This however was the only issue with the rest of hotel/ pub be excellently set out and presented. Breakfast was also exquisite. Overall a 5 star stay just make the stairs down more visible for anyone who is visually impaired.」

「The hotel is part of the service area on the A1 but, unlike most such hotels, it offers good food as well as comfortable accommodation. We were impressed with the welcome we received - and our dog was happy with the positive attention he received! The chap on reception was able to recommend a good parking spot in Bamburgh, where we were keen to take the dog for a long walk! All in all, a good place to stop!」

「All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the room was clean and had everything I needed, and it was lovely to have breakfast included. I would happily stay again.」

Ansonsten alles top.」

「Don’t expect leisure access.」
