Hotel Riu Palace Tropical Bay - All Inclusive

10/10 Excellent

"Everything about this resort was excellent! My favorite part was definitely the beach, clear turquoise water, warm, clean, minimal waves. Secondly, the staff was polite, helpful and always eager to help. If you're looking for a party resort, this is not it (you can walk over the sister resort for that), if you're looking to relax, you've come to the right place. The only con is the entertainment; it is lacking some creativity."

"This property is extremely well kept. The staff are all very friendly. The location is a 35 minute drive from the airport. The many beaches and pools give you a good variety of views. It is a very large spread out property, but you can call for a cart ride to anywhere in the resort. Most rooms have a King bed. Two bed rooms are very few and have a garden view. Not all the restaurants are open every day. You must look at the app everyday to see what restaurants are open for lunch and dinner.No bar/drink menus."

"The room was comfortable. It could use a little refresh, but overall it was clean and comfortable. The staff was always friendly and helpful. The food was good- especially the jerk chicken lunch on the beach. We all looked forward to that!"

"There are few complaints but we did have tiny ants in our room. This is a carribean issue but i did ask for this to be rectified twice and was told the room would be sprayed. It was not. Tip; dont leave any food or drink out not even crumbs. Having said that there were ants in the bathroom also."

"Gave a mid review on property maintenance since our building suffered a power loss for around 2 hours during the night and maybe around 3 hours the following day in the evening. There was no communication from the staff so that was disappointing but it was eventually resolved. Everything else was great. That alone spoiled the trip. If the issue is permanently fixed or at least the staff would be more forthcoming, I'd definitely recommend."
