Located across from Aransas Bay, this recently remodeled 1BR cottage features a sunning deck, a shaded picnic area by the water, and a private pier. You’ll also enjoy a private backyard and patio with a charcoal grill.
Downtown Rockport and the beach are just minutes away!

LIVING AREA

Spend time together in the cozy living area, furnished with a couch and an armchair. Play a game of cards at the table for two, or watch favorite shows on the 32” flat-screen TV.

KITCHEN & DINING

The well-equipped kitchen offers everything you need to whip up tasty meals. Helpful gadgets include a coffee maker, blender, and toaster

When your meals are ready, dine at the table for four.

BEDROOMS & BATHS

This single-story home sleeps up to four guests between one bedroom and a bonus sleeping space.

The bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed and 32” flat-screen TV.

A bonus sleeping space offers two twin-size beds with a convenient privacy curtain to separate the area from the living room.

Stocked with a complimentary starter supply of toiletries, the bathroom is configured with a walk-in shower.

OUTDOOR AREAS

Take your pick between a charcoal or gas grill, located in the fenced backyard. Cook up burgers and dine alfresco on the patio, appointed with a table for four. Or, spend leisurely afternoons sunning on the deck.

Across the road, a grassy space features a picnic table under a charming tiki hut. Enjoy a bayside picnic or take a stroll along the pier that leads to a private dock -- outfitted with four chairs.

Fabulous location, house needs work

The location is perfect. The dock is perfect, the water super clear, it's close to everything. The house is a historic gem: it has withstood so many hurricanes. It's really sad to see it in such a state of disrepair. For example, there is an obious leak under the shower that is bowing the wood (original wood floor). A lot of things are old and about to break. But overall, we had a really good stay. I would still recommend this place, but adjust expectations.

Cute cottage with beautiful views and dock. Stayed as a small family with two young children who loved the front patio/porch. Very close to shops, beach, and ferry but far enough that you can enjoy the sound of nothing but waves.

Very nice place

We travel to Rockport for the first time just to have a couple of days of relaxing, and this house was just the right place. We did enjoy the deck. It has window units, not central AC, and ceiling fans in every room, however, if the noise bothers you, the window unit in the main bedroom is noisy. Noise does not bother me

Joy Cottage on Water Street

We loved the location which is less than 100 feet from the water, where we could see many birds and dolphins. The cottage was fully furnished and photos are accurate. We had a couple of minor issues, taken care of quickly.

Enjoyed our stay. A/Cs have mold in them. Pier is not as pictured and no lights. Concrete trucks blocked our way into driveway as are building a home next to drive. Very clean cottage.

The Joy cottage

It’s everything a cottage is supposed to be , enjoyed the stay would go there again and will recommend it to my friends and family. The fishing was great with the exception of the lighting it needs more lighting Joy have your maintenance guy install a few more lights and you will be set . Also correct your listing because it stays a 20 foot pier when it’s every bit of 200 foot . That alone will get you more customers. Over all expect me and my group to return soon . The house needs to be cleaned better and the furniture is uncomfortable also some updates would really help this property. Overall it’s not a bad place to stay for a single guy but I would not take a lady friend to this house for a weekend getaway. Also the grass burrs in the yard are a problem.
