Great family vacay in Port A!

We really enjoyed t staying with our family (4 adults, 5 kids). Three stories was a bit cumbersome at times but the elevator was definitely helpful in getting groceries up to the kitchen. We really spent most of our time on the top floor, though the kids did enjoy the balconies and roof deck.

Celebrating mom’s 60th birthday

Overall it was perfect! Especially the top floor because of how open it was. It was a little warm throughout the house because of all the windows and not being able to bump down the thermostat.

Get away!

Wonderful place to stay. Linens were rather limited as only one wash cloth per person is not sufficient. I like one in the shower and one at the sink. Also, more silverware is needed. Otherwise, great place!

Port A Vaca!!

This property was exactly what our family needed! We had a party of 9 that included our Grandma and our 7 month pregnant DIL. The elevator within the property was a lifesaver as there are several flights of stairs to get up and down between floors. Property was clean, had a well stocked kitchen and super comfy beds... couldn’t ask for much more. The neighborhood is very well kept and convenient to Beach Access Rd 1. Rent a golf cart like we did! So much fun and makes getting to and from the beach easy. We would definitely come back again!

Vacation with the family!

Overall, it was good experience. Despite hurricane “Hanna” making her appearance, we made the best of our time. When we arrived, we noticed that not everything was as clean as we would of hoped for. For example, there is mold growing within the margarita machine... as well as sand residue left within the bed sheets. However, the rooftop deck views made up for it. This is a great entertainment space, just be cautious of the cleanliness of this property.

Great Family Weekend

This was our first VRBO/HomeAway experience and it worked fantastic. The rental company was communicative with check in/check out procedures, the property was beautiful & clean. Plenty of room for 10 adults to spread out. The elevator in the home was incredibly helpful in bringing all our groceries & other stuff up to the top floor. Top notch kitchen & living room The top deck was fantastic to have a drink and watch the sunset. Only downsides of property is that it looks like it has beach access but you actually have to leave neighborhood via vehicle whether that be golf cart or car (don't walk - we attempted to walk and the mosquitos in the nearby pond & grassy areas swarmed us and without exaggeration my wife and I had over 100 bites). You can purchase a vehicle beach pass for the entire year for less than 10$. Also, the BBQ pit is a beat up old charcoal pit which was fine with us because that's what my father-in-law loves to BBQ on, however, if I had been cooking it would have been rough. Overall, a fantastic place earning 5 stars and recommend for future stay.

Mermaids Retreat

Vacay

Our experience started out bad! When we arrived after 4 to check in, we walked In On a mess! Un made beds, dirty showers, water standing in the tub, and food and dirty dishes and towels all around is what we found. I immediately called and was told that they were sorry , but the previous people had to have a police escort off the property. You are suppose to check out at 11am sharp so we should’ve had a phone call saying there was trouble and let us know when we could arrive. I had to call at least 3 times before a maid showed up. We had been on the road with small chilldren for 8 1/2 hours and had to figure something out for a couple more hours. I was told the property manager would give me a call the next morning and we NEVER heard from them!! We have been coming to Port A for years and this was the worst experience we have ever had!! The least you could have done was make a call and offer a discount or extra time even a sincere apology would have been nice.

Great location. Great view off of roof.

We stayed with 6 adults and 5 teenagers. Check-in was easy. Received gate and door codes by email prior to check-in. Home had everything we needed for for what we wanted to cook. Parking for 5 cars may be a stretch (unless everyone comes in a small SUV or compact car) as my truck took up almost 1 side of the driveway. Overall a great house with a great view of the Gulf off the roof.

What a beautiful space this is!

Our group of women that stayed here was thoroughly impressed by the decor and attention to detail. This beach house was a blast to hang out at on the roof top deck while having a few drinks with the girls relaxing in the evening. We rented a golf cart with our discount through the beach house company we stayed with. We are very happy and plan to return.

Beautiful house with ocean views!

Just sat back and relaxed on balcony with the family. Ocean views are breathtaking and what a way to unwind. There was plenty of space for all of us. The house was clean. The rental company was very friendly and enthusiastic about Port Aransas and helped us with all of our questions to plan for a perfect vacation. You have to try out this Mermaid Retreat house!
