Great house & location

The house is in a great location on a more secluded part of the beach. Easy walk across the boardwalk and a pool right in the backyard. Lots of room to spread out in the house with a great bunkroom for the kids.

Know Before You Go

This home provided easy access to the beach and the pool. Great kitchen area. It slept our whole family nicely. The home has been used hard with little maintenance. Bring a lot of bug spray as bugs (mostly mosquitoes) do get inside the home.

Easy to walk to beach and pool. Bring your own beach towels even though pother guests said they were provided. The management company was not helpful once we arrived…novwifi the entire four days even though we contacted them MANY times. The house was clean and comfortable.

Nice place!

My family and I all fit comfortably and loved the distance from the beach house to the beach. There is a private pier, a place to rinse off, and a pool. I saw that someone posted that no pool towels were provided. If you are going to the beach you bring beach towels and there is a washer and dryer. Which I loved because I came home with clean clothes. A plus also was that the house is in a small gated subdivision, everyone was friendly, and the pool was never packed. I felt very safe staying there with my family.

This property was awesome!! We had 4 generations spend a weekend together to celebrate my granddaughters 6th birthday. The pool is right infront of the back decks and the walkway to the beach is directly behind the pool. Didn't have to drive to the beach, which was nice. I recommend this house to anyone who wants to get away with family or friends. Only downfall is no one who is handicapped could stay at this house because all the bathrooms are accessed on the second and third floor.

Quick stay, great stay

We came for a soccer event but have 5 kids ranging 2-10 and grandma came with the wife and I. The proximity to the beach is outstanding, and the pool is halfway between the house and the beach. Both can be seen from the 2nd and 3rd floors. It was helpful having 3 bathrooms with showers. The community is gated. It’s halfway up the island from Corpus and Port A, roughly, and it did feel more remote and peaceful. As much as we have liked Rockport and downtown Port A, being out here was pleasant considering that our kids are mostly 5 and up. The beach was great!

Not great but not bad.

We have been staying in the lost colony area for 13 years and it’s been in decline over the years. The house was clean, but several gnats in the kitchen upon arrival. My daughter sat in a broken chair at the dining table causing her to fall and hurt herself. There were no wash cloths available so make sure to bring your own. The stickers were horrible outside and this house has carpeted stairs, you do the math. The best thing about this house is the convenience of having a boardwalk and short distance to the beach. That is what we have loved about this area. The beds were comfortable. With so many of the newer developments and newer housing in the area, we will look elsewhere moving forward.

Here for the beach!!!

If you are coming to Port A to be on the beach and enjoy a close place to sleep! This is the place! If you are coming here for a pristine environment, keep looking. Do I think this place was worth the money, no I do not. But we were looking for a place that would fit 9 people, close to the beach and we could be together. This was what we needed. I likely would not stay here again but it was great for a one and done trip. My family had a ton of fun. There were so many laughs, tons of memories made and that is all that matters. PROS: - Close to the beach, easy walk. This was perfect having our grandson since he needed to go back and nap or he would come later than the rest of the group. Also the teenagers would walk to the beach in the evening. - The bottom portion of the house IS connected to the upstairs! This was huge for us since our kids were staying downstairs! The only "bad" part is there is no bathroom downstairs. But that was never an issue. - The common area was perfect since we eat meals as a family and play family games every night. Some of watch tv or just sit on the couch and watch the chaos of family games. - We didn't remember seeing that there was a highchair available so when we found it in the closet we were stoked! CONS: - No grills allowed as the description said. This was a bummer since we planned all of our meals around having a grill. - The beds were very comfortable but they were sandy and there was hair in them. - The towels smelled like wet dog and we couldn't figure out why... until we washed a load of laundry... the washer stinks so bad. - We were down a few kitchen chairs because they were broke and unsafe to sit in. - The outside of the property is not very well kept, which makes it look yucky. The balcony is old and not kept up so be aware of splinters!
