“We were looking for somewhere to stay whilst attending a family function and by chance cane across The George and Dragon. We are so glad we did! What a beautiful pub with bundles of character. Our room was gorgeous; modern yet rustic and equipped with everything to make our stay spot on! Staff were lovely and attentive, and breakfast was amazing. “My wife and I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. The place is charming and an experience in itself. It is an old house, but the rooms are in a perfect condition and spotlessly clean. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. The location is great for exploring the area to the west of London, including Salisbury, Bath and Bristol in a car. ”

“This is a smaller hotel with a homely, personal feel that felt unique compared to larger, more commercial feeling hotel / spa combos that are becoming so common now. We felt very comfortable playing games and having drinks in the evening, enjoying the unique heated outdoor pool and generally relaxing. Our room was large with a huge, comfy bed with crispy clean linen and a lovely hot bath with bubbles. Our evening meal was exceptionally tasty and well presented - the baked Sole was the best……

“Big, clean comfortable room, ideal for a family of 4. Staff were excellent and food at dinner and breakfast were really good - a good step up from standard pub food. Home made cookies, and crayons and activity sheets for the kids in the room were a lovely addition.”
