Fantastic stay in Tuscany

This is a charming house in a small town outside Cortona. Easily located near all the things you would want to see in the area. The host treated us like family and had homemade treats and wine waiting for our arrival. The house is perfectly suited for 4 people to stay and had a lot of charm. If you are looking to escape the hustle of daily life and relax this is the perfect location.

Lovely little home

My mom and I stayed at Casina del Bibo for four days. The location is perfect if you want to stay in a small village away from all of the hustle of the Tuscan hill towns. You will definitely need a car, though. We stayed in the upstairs apartment, which had two large rooms with king sized beds (and air conditioning, which was much needed!). The sitting room is cozy. There is a small kitchen that seems well equipped, although we didn't cook anything. Anna Maria and her daughter Lorella were very easy and quick to communicate with. All in all a really lovely stay.

Just a wonderful stay and host

We enjoyed the serene and beautiful landscape around us. We didn’t rent a car so just relaxed in our beautiful apartment and walked the trails and shopped the local grocery who had so much great produce and food. Lorella and her mother were wonderful and so kind. They had Tuscan snacks and wine on our arrival and even surprise treats. I highly recommend staying here.

Charming farm house

Beautifully located in a small village just outside of Cortona, with small grocery store only steps away. Very well appointed. Host was very friendly and fluent in English. Excellent restaurants within close range by car.

Perfect combination of location, convenience, beauty and hospitality

We can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed Anna Maria’s place. From Lorella’s welcome to the amazing Tuscan bread and figs. Their gifts of wine, food and most importantly, their warmth and friendliness. Fratticciola was the perfect home base for trips to Cortona, Lake Trasimeno, Montepulciano and Pienza. Everything was absolutely lovely. Grazie mille e Ciao!

The place is clean, charming and cozy. We were met with vin santo, cookies and bruschetta. They have guide books which really helped us out and we had a fun time choosing which room to sleep in. Very relaxing stay.

Perfectly located home base for Tuscany.

Wonderful place and host Anna Marie provided sone wonderfully tasty treats from her own kitchen and a recipe to take home and try. This spot is centrally located in Tuscany with easy vists to the surrounding cities of interest. Grazie, Anna Marie and Lorella!

Lorella and Anna Maria were wonderful! They had a small platter and bottle of wine on the table waiting for us at check in. The apartment was cozy and had everything we needed. It was close to Cortona and all that Tuscany has to offer!

Lovely spot to get away from the crowds

The Casina was such a lovely spot away from the crowds we'd seen in Florence and Venice. It was an easy drive to Cortona and Montepulciano and other towns in Tuscany. The apartment was perfect for our family of 4 and well appointed. We were greeted with a plate of bruschetta, wine and other treats when we arrived. The kitchen was perfect for preparing breakfast or an easy dinner. Laundry and shopping were a short drive away. Would definitely stay there again.

Cozy , relaxing and quaint stay

This Tuscany-Italy stay was very relaxing and easy access to tourist points like Cortona, Perugia, Florence, even Pisa. Ana María was a super host welcoming us with some of her handmade snacks, signature wines and olive oil. The olive oil was one of the best olive oils I’ve tasted during my stay. I highly recommend this quaint Tuscan apartment with its surrounding beauty. Thank Ana María for the hospitality.

Great Rural Stay near Cortona

The apartment was clean, well appointed, and has character. It was perfect for the two of us. The host and her daughter greeted us with homemade local foods that were fantastic and very much appreciated. The family works together to take care of the property and guests. The area is beautiful and within driving distance to many Tuscan towns. There is a family winery with tastings and appetizers upon request within 200m of the apartment.

Repeat Visit

We have stayed in one other of the units before (2021 Fall) so knew what to expect as far as cleanliness, helpful info and thoughtful items like vino, crosatta/torta, cantuchi, and general kindness. Location is rural but well situated for day trips to popular hill towns. All in all a very nice visit and recommended for adults with vehicle.

Authentic country house

This property has been lovingly restored with good quality fittings and beautiful linens. Anna Maria includes many homely extras such as olive oil, jam, biscotti to dip into sweet wine, and her very kind lovely self. There is a small vegetable garden to pick from and many fruit trees in the pretty garden. Great place to visit many of the surrounding towns. It was a pleasure and a privilege to stay here.

Great location

We chose this apartment based on the location and the reviews and we’re not disappointed. Ideally located for exploring the region. Communication with the owners was prompt and easy. There was a freshly prepared plate of savoury goodies and a bottle of homemade wine for us to enjoy. The kitchen and bathroom are both quite small by North American standards but adequate for our needs. The entire apartment was extremely clean. Having access to an outdoor area was greatly appreciated. The hosts were very kind and helpful when needed.

Lovely Fratticciola

The property is in a great location, and very clean. Unfortunately, we did not see the host once during our 6 days stay. We enjoyed the garden and the drives through the countryside. The apartment is small, especially the kitchen area, although it is well-equipped. The second bathroom is outside the apartment, which we did not use. The Wi-Fi was very intermittent. Although the bedrooms were a good size, they did not have shelving for our clothes.

Absolutely Lovely!

My husband and I were greeted by Anna Maria’s lovely daughter who showed us around the property and made sure we were properly settled. Anna Maria had left us homemade bruschetta, wine, and biscotti - all were absolutely delicious! The views and sounds of nature from this darling apartment were everything my husband and I hoped for, and the trip to the town, Cortona, was the favourite part of our trip to Italy! We got to say goodbye to Anna Maria which was an absolute treat - very warm and friendly. We would definitely come back! Thank you!

House in Tuscany

The house is located in Fratticcola near Cortona. The house was spacious and very clean.The kitchen had all you would need to cook. The hosts were very lovely and friendly. The hosts have limited English but we were able to communicate well with our limited Italian and phone translation app. Anna Marie was a joy to meet and she was so accommodating with wine, fruit and bread. Since we arrived late and had not eaten since morning this was a treat. I highly recommend.
