“I chose to leave the 2 night stay I paid for an entire day and a half early, that’s how disappointed I was. Host never once responded (still hasn’t) and I was on the phone with VRBO for 2 hours. Location of listing was completely wrong - this is a unit in the Eight 80 complex - far from a “luxurious beach stay.” The listing said it was behind Wild Goose off 17th St. They were doing construction in the garage and lights were shining in the room all night because it’s a ground level unit right by……

“It was average. I don't love not having hand towels. I'm not sure how it's eco-friendly to use papertowels to dry your hands. We were given an extra three towels and like other reviewers have said, very thin below-average towels that have been very well-used. The couches were very uncomfortable. The beds were fine, but no top sheet which I did not appreciate because I'm guessing they aren't washing those comforters between guests. It was in a decent neighborhood. We appreciated the kitchen……

“I can’t speak more highly of a rental property! The location was perfect. Walking distance to everything. Communication was so efficient and host response times were very quick and easy. Check in was so easy. The house was spotless. Good showers, plenty of towels, the beds were so comfortable. We loved the patio for morning coffee and sunshine and evening dinners. A must stay if you are going to Balboa Island or Newport Beach area! So grateful for our family time away!”
