Every single staff member was incredibly helpful and attentive. Very friendly. Lots of things to do and places to eat. The beaches were beautiful and clean.

Beautiful hotel with good infrastructure for adults and kids. Drinks were very average, made with low quality alcohol and tons of soda to save on other ingredients. Food was very fresh and delicious. Amazing ceviche on the Peruvian station and the buffet was breathtaking. Looooots of options! Not a lot going on at night, if you are looking for shows etc. Staffing in general was very gentle. Their service was not great although. Staff don’t have good internal communication and if you have any extra needs from customer service, be prepared to get stressed. Other than that, great place for the price.

The property is beautiful. Well suited for families without being your typical massive kids resort. I liked that it was walkable with lots of food options. The different vibes at the pools is great because depending on your mood you may want something more upbeat or more chill. One pool hosts the activities and has loud music during the day whereas the other pool is a more relax vibe with no activities. The strip in the centre of the resort is lively and great for the kids at nighy. There is a DJ at night and a different kids activity (face painting etc). The lobby bar has great vibes and service and nice place for adults to grab a drink. Think was our second visit and I wouldn’t hesitate going back a third time.

Overall the facility was a nice. But what lacked was the customer service. I’m not sure where to start but, our rooms were not ready at 3pm, we were told to wait 20 minutes until they were cleaned. Our rooms were never cleaned upon arrival, and not the promised rooms were delivered. We were treated differently than other guests, simple requests were often ignored such as towels for our room.

Beautiful! Resort was clean and the food was amazing! Most all-inclusive resorts sacrifice the quality of their food for the aesthetic, but not the Catalonia. Staffing was so friendly and accommodating!! Would definetly recommend!!!

Your typical all inclusive, i wish the entertainment was more diverse. Spanish music everywhere all day long. After day one i was bored and ready to go. Not much to do, just hang out by the pool all day long or go to the beach. However, the staff was friendly and super kind, facilities were clean and food was ok.

This was our 2nd time in this resort ,we love this place ,very nice ,relaxing and good family atmosphere. Highly recommend this place . Rating of 8.2 on Expedia doesn’t t justify its true rating ,I would give this resort ,it’s staff and cleanliness around 9.1 and over .

We came to Mexico for a surgical procedure to which we informed staff. I would ask for non alcoholic drinks to which I would get a bad attitude and then the bartenders still adding alcohol. Food service at The Grill was absolutely terrible. Room was good and so was the pools and beach area.

We liked that it was well layed out, walkable, the entertainment on 5 avenue was very good. The entertainment in the show place was very good but jus loud for that size of room. The food was definitely awesome with all the restaurants to choose and sooo many choices at the buffet.

The property is beautiful and the rooms are very nice and clean. The beach is perfect. However… the property is so over booked. There are big lines for EVERYTHING. It is impossible to get a lounge chair by the pool in the morning. They are all taken. We have to wake up at 5 am to get a seat by the pool JUST TO HAVE IT STOLEN BY ANOTHER PERSON!

The property is newer and looks modern. The suite that I have for a family of 5 worked fine for our need. We had 2 beds and a sofa bed. Our room was very close to the evening entertainment which runs until midnight each night so if you need super quiet time before that, might be good to request for a room away from it. We got use to the loud music so it became sort of like white noise in the background. The food was okay. The Caribe Gran buffet had okay variety of food. Comparing to other all inclusive resorts that I’ve been to, this place had much less options. Most of the restaurants were booked 2 days out. You would have to wait until midnight to try booking a spot for the 3rd day of your trip. That means if you’re only at the resort for 2 days, sorry no restaurant for you, but hey enjoy the buffet. If you like to take advantage of all the unlimited alcohol, be prepared not to have your typical drinks the way you’re used to it , such as margarita, Long Island, Mai tai, cosmo, etc… the wine they serve may be the closest to what it is elsewhere. Even with that, it taste a little water down. Overall, the cocktails and liquor taste water down. Usually I get a buzz after 1-2 drinks. At this resort, and most others, 6-7 drinks and you barely get a buzz. In my case, I got a headache, not quite the typical buzz. Night entertainment was music with kids dancing. Physical plant of resort is a 4-5 stars. Food and its service/accessibility is 2 stars. Bar is 2 stars.

My family and I had a wonderful time at this resort. It was nothing short of beautiful. I will say, it is definitely a family resort and there is not as much night life entertainment. It is also very difficult to reserve dinner reservations, as most nights they were booked out. I got engaged on this trip and the staff and other travelers celebrated us and added accommodations, such as, strawberries and champagne sent to our rooms. Overall, it was a great resort.

This property is gorgeous and the size is nice (not too big but has most of what you need). The landscaping and vegetation is top notch. Seriously very beautiful! And the beach is beautiful. Bright blue water, soft white sand beach with little sea weed. My complaint about the property would be the food is disappointing compared to other resorts and the entertainment (aside from the nightly live music) is poor. The Michael Jackson show is good but the others are just dancers. Talented people but when you go to other resorts you get more of a show. I really am rooting for this resort as it has some real positives but they need to step up their food, entertainment and spa.

Special shout out to Ivan for his service with a smile and all the staff for being pleasant and thorough in their jobs! Loved the proximity to the gorgeous white sand beach and amazing ocean water. The room was perfect. Spacious and always clean. Comfortable bed and fully stocked fridge always. Pools were great. Only thing is there is only one towel station by one of the pools so always need to plan your route depending where you are headed. Mamma Mia and Tao Cat restaurants were best experience and food.

The Catalonia Costa Mujeres was amazing!! The beach was amazing. The pools were amazing. The overall experience was amazing. Some reviews we read were complaining about the quality of the food and the limited options. We found this to be completely the opposite. The buffet was the best that I have experienced at any all-inclusive and there were plenary of options at every meal. We had a group of 16 and they were so helpful and accommodating.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here up until the last 10 minutes when we were waiting for our PRIVATE shuttle to pick us up. Then things took a turn and because of what happened, I will never come back here. The two baggage men at the front of the hotel (on Tues March 19 around 8am) were rude and extremely pushy. Long story short, they were harassing us to leave at the hotel. Within a span of 5 minutes these two men came up to us 3 times - telling us that our shuttle was here and it's going to leave without us. I checked out around 7:45am and was just trying to say our goodbyes to our cousins - we had come here to celebrate a milestone birthday. I patiently told these men that it's a private shuttle and it's not scheduled to leave until 8am. The attitude I received in response is disgusting considering this is supposed to be a "5 star resort". If management happens to read this, the full story is posted on my 1 star Google review of your property. We were yelled at and embarrassed in front of our cousins and other guests in the lobby. I will not coming back to this property. I also do not recommend this property to anyone who is looking to book here. This place does NOT deserve your money!

The property hounds you throughout your stay to upgrade to VIP. I repeatedly declined. Then they charged my card $600 for Exclusive VIP upon checkout which I didn’t realize until I was back stateside. You have to make reservations for dinner or they will not seat you. Only 4 to a party when we’re on a family vacation. All liquor is bottom shelf. The waiters and waitresses provide terrible entertainment. Pools close early with nothing else to do for the night.
