“Everything is good , Staff is nice , just one thing is internet no stable . Others are excellent.”

“As a solo traveller this accommodation was wonderful. Kate is incredibly kind, hardworking, and accommodating. She allowed me to check in much earlier and the room was absolutely spotless. I felt very safe during my stay. The breakfast was delicious and there were a lot of different options. I regret not staying a few extra nights! Overall I loved my stay at Ach na Sheen and highly recommend it to other travellers, especially solo travellers”

“No air con in the room, a bit hot in the room”

“The staff were so lovely and accommodating! Our room was luxurious and we had a lovely view of the river. They even put a happy birthday dessert plate in the room for my husband- very kind! I do want to say that the leisure/pool center was quite a disappointment. It is very outdated and so dirty that I didn't even end up putting my suit on to use the facilities. The whole center could really use some updating and TLC. My family lives locally and used to have a membership to the facility but had……

“Overall, we had a great stay. The room was huge and the beds were very comfortable, although dated with furnishings. This wasn’t really an issue because it added to the overall charm of the place. The breakfast was amazing. Don’t even think of getting a package that doesn’t include breakfast. It was marvelous. We did have one rather uncomfortable experience with the attendants in the pool and gym area. We were just walking around, checking it out, fully dressed ( lol) …it was very obvious that……

“Great size of room. Food is excellent - the bar for meal in evening and breakfast is superb! Few areas look bit tired but know they are doing refurbishment at the minute. Decent value for money.”

“Very nice place.”

“The hotel looks tired and needs some upgrades. The shower was so very small, tighter than a phone booth and the shower walls are pealing. There is no elevator, so my husband had to carry the two full size suitcases up to the second floor. Cahir is a small town, with no many hotel options, so I guess it is not bad if you are staying there for a night, and the pub/restaurant offered a pretty decent fish and chips.”

“Very nice property, easy parking. Short walk into town.”

“We found the staff and property to be excellent. They were very cooperative in allowing an early check-in. The room was excellent. The property had a bar and dining options which we both used and enjoyed. The breakfast was a complete menu for us to select from and was excellent. We had after dinner drinks and good discussions with the staff. The property itself was located within walking distance of the town and there was ample parking on site.”

“Had my wedding here in August and it was a DREAM!!! Sarah was the most wonderful host possible and made planning a wedding from the States a breeze. The estate is absolutely phenomenal. So much character and history, you will be in awe. You feel like you're in a movie. I did almost no decor for my wedding because the venue itself takes care of everything. The house is spotless and so comfortable. There's stunning views from every angle & window. As an American who isn't a fan of Irish food, this……

“Beautiful property and a good place to refresh after a long flight. Quiet, owners were nice, and scones waiting for us upon arrival. 'True Ireland' location.”

“The property was incredible! We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Jean was so kind and we can’t wait to come back!”

“Beautiful stay. The hosts had a wonderful binder with local scenery, hikes, and activities. Will definitely recommend.”

“Staff weee very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. Room had no internet, no soap, shampoo, conditioner etc.”

“This place was good enough for a one night stay, very basic, could have a few more things that would tip it up to a 5 star which I will share privately with the owner.”

“Au calme, accueil exceptionnel et tout le confort nécessaire.”
