“It was an okay stay. Location was convenient and I liked the idea of pub+hotel - easy for dining and drinking isn't it? However, the hotel rooms honestly need a bit of refurbishing and improvement on cleaniness. Shower faciltiies were a bit old and didn't function quite properly and stains were everywhere to be seen. But other than that price is okay.”

“Parking available at the property, nice village location. Room was nice with period features (although disappointed the 4-poster bed not there as advertised). Food from the pub was delicious although you could hear the noise from downstairs - this didn't particularly bother us but be aware if an early or light sleeper that the rooms are above the bar. Overall we enjoyed our stay. ”

“Wow. This was an amazing experience. The woman who greeted and took care of us (Emma?) was the most wonderful host and the hardest working person I have ever met. The room was fantastic with a great view and the experience in general was magical. The only downside was that the published open times for the tavern were not correct and the links in their welcome books seemed broken. Everything else, fantastic. A great find in a historic space. We were surprised to see major outside work which began at six am each morning.Our bedrooms were in a separate building adjacent to the hotel.
