「Melfort never disappoints; excellent staff and accommodation -only downside on this occasion, Shower of Herring closed until new people reopen it on 10 October. However, nearby Cufail Hotel supplied excellent meals.」

「Property could do with some refurb work, black mould in various places, place needs a good clean」

「Really enjoyed our stay.Just did not have enough time to spend on all the things available. Just a nice part of the world to be in」

「Beautiful cottage with great outdoor space in the garden. Lovely to wake up to the numerous bird songs in the garden also the red squirrel 🐿️ who made several appearances. Would highly recommend this cottage to couples definitely a home from home, even our little dog settled in very quickly.」

「Melfort Village is terrific. Beautiful setting and marvellous accommodation. There is a pool, tennis court, putting green, restaurant /bar (great food)and lots of space. 「This is the second time we have stayed in walled garden.cottage no. 2. My two grandchildren love it but.I think maybe it could.do with a.wee freshen.up. On the other hand I cannot praise your customer service highly enough, especially one of your reception staff named Alwyn. She was the nicest , most helpful lady I have ever come across. I will definitely be back .」

「Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und können die Anlage sehr empfehlen. Immer wieder.」

「Great stay in a beautifully presented cottage, highly recommend Melfort village. Second stay in the village first time in this cottage - fantastic」

「We stayed only two nights. The property is about 30 minutes outside of Oban at the edge of a smaller loch and just outside a small village. The staff was very accommodating and helpful, including when we had an issue (likely self-inflicted) with a washing machine. We would definitely stay again, and make time to stay longer and enjoy more of the area as well as the property’s many amenities. Strongly recommended.」

「Beautiful cottage. We really enjoyed our stay and the stream behind and private garden was a treat. The facilities as always are wonderful and I hope that the shower of herring is open fully next year.」
